Abstract: A swing includes a swing frame, a seat member and a pair of generally C-shaped coupling units. The swing frame includes left and right upright side frames and a horizontal connecting rod which interconnects top ends of the side frames. The seat member is disposed between the side frames and has a pair of upwardly extending swing arms, each of which has a distal top end formed with an inverted U-shaped hook that opens downwardly toward the connecting rod. The coupling units are clamped spacedly and fittingly on the connecting rod. The hooks on the swing arms of the seat member engage slidably and respectively the coupling units on the connecting rod to permit forward and rearward swinging movement of the seat member relative to the connecting rod. The coupling units prevent direct contact between the hooks on the swing arms and the connecting rod to minimize wearing between the hooks and the connecting rod and to reduce noise that is generated when the seat member swings.

Abstract: A foldable chair frame has a pair of positioning device, each of which includes a stationary pivot seat for mounting pivotally a post of a back frame portion to a respective rail of a seat frame portion of the chair frame, and a movable pivot seat mounted pivotally on the stationary pivot seat by means of a first pivot shaft that extends through an upper end of the movable pivot seat and through the stationary pivot seat. The movable pivot seat has a rear leg portion of the chair frame mounted pivotally thereon by means of a second pivot shaft that extends through a lower end thereof. The movable pivot seat further has an outer side formed with a retaining protrusion.

Abstract: A height-adjustable armrest unit for a chair includes a support, a generally upright sleeve, a leverage body, and a biasing member. The support is fixed on a seat of the chair and includes an upright plate portion which has an upright guiding slot formed therethrough and a column of engaging notches communicated with the slot. The sleeve is mounted on the upright plate portion of the support. The leverage body has an intermediate portion mounted pivotally on a first inner wall of the upright sleeve, an actuated upper end portion, and a lower end portion with a lock pin axially projecting therefrom and extending slidably into the guiding slot in the plate portion. The biasing member biases the upright sleeve to push the lock pin to engage a selected one of the notches. The upper end portion of the leverage body can be actuated against biasing action of the biasing member to disengage the lock pin from the selected one of the notches so as to retract into the guiding slot in the plate portion.

Abstract: An umbrella includes a hollow shank that is open at an upper end. A hollow lamp holder unit is provided on the upper end of the shank and has a closed upper end to which a plurality of ribs are connected, an open lower end formed with a central hole to permit the shank to extend into the lamp holder unit, and a positioning rod which extends from the upper end and into the shank. The positioning rod has a longitudinal groove formed on a periphery thereof. A slidable ring is sleeved on the shank. A plurality of spreaders are connected pivotally to a periphery of the ring member at one end and are connected pivotally and respectively to the ribs at the other end. A lighting element is mounted securely on the lower end of the lamp holder unit adjacent to the central hole. An electric cable unit is disposed inside the shank and extends through the groove in the positioning rod and into the lamp holder unit, thereby interconnecting the lighting element electrically with a power source.

Abstract: A height-adjustable armrest unit for a chair includes a support, a vertical sleeve, and a leverage body. The support is mounted securely on the seat of the chair and includes a vertical plate portion with a column of positioning holes formed therethrough. The vertical sleeve is disposed on the vertical plate portion of the support and has a pair of pivot holes respectively formed in the inner surfaces of two opposite side walls thereof. The leverage body includes an actuated upper end portion, an engaging tongue projecting from the lower end portion of the leverage body to engage selectively one of the positioning holes, and a pair of pivot pins respectively secured to an intermediate portion of the leverage body between the actuated upper end portion and the engaging tongue so as to engage the pivot holes respectively.

Abstract: An assembly of a chair frame and a reinforcing rod unit is provided to prevent deformation of the chair frame. The chair frame is U-shaped and has two parallel longitudinal frame portions. The reinforcing rod unit has two ends coupled with the longitudinal frame portions respectively so as to prevent the longitudinal frame portions from deformation. The reinforcing rod unit includes a horizontal tube and two pivotal connector mechanisms respectively coupled with two ends of the tube. Each of the mechanisms includes an elongated tube connector coupled with the tube, a flexible hollow frame connector coupled with the corresponding longitudinal frame portion, and a pivot pin to mount the tube connector pivotally on the frame connector.
