    Abstract: A method of changing driving sequence to output a charge coupled device signal, the method is applied to a scanner. The scanner has a pixel processor and a charge coupled device. A plurality of charge signals detected by the charge coupled device is sequentially output to the pixel processor according to the driving sequence. In the method of changing the driving sequence to output the charge coupled device signal, a fast driving sequence is provided. The fast driving sequence has a period equal to 1/N of the original driving sequence. According to the fast driving sequence, the charge signal is sent to the pixel processing circuit. The charge signals are sampled by the processing circuit according to a sampling sequence, and the data obtained by sampling is output.

    Abstract: An accelerative noise filtering method for image data is provided. The present invention includes selecting four neighboring pixels around a target pixel in a pattern of a cross shape or X shape, and calculating the absolute value of a difference between the target pixel and each of the four neighboring pixels. When the absolute value of the difference of the neighboring pixel is not larger than a standard deviation, a binary value of a bit corresponding to the neighboring pixel is set “1”. When the absolute value of the difference of the neighboring pixel is larger than a standard deviation, a binary value of a bit corresponding to the neighboring pixel is set “0”. Consequently, a 4-bit mapping table including the binary values of the four neighboring pixels is obtained. Then, a new pixel value for replacing the target pixel value is calculated based on a calculation derived from the 4-bit mapping table.

    Abstract: An image apparatus with batch scan and real time display and a method of the same are provided. The method of the present invention comprises steps of utilizing a transmission device for transmitting pictures into the scanner sequentially, scanning a picture and storing digital data in memory, displaying a notify signal to notice the user simultaneously while the scan is finished, showing the scanned image in a display device and scanning next picture at the same time while the user changes a switch control device. It is provided for shortening the scanning time of an image and reducing the time of waiting by utilizing the ways of batch scan and real time display. The present invention can increase number and size of picture to be scanned and thereby promote the scanning efficiency without requiring the increase in size of a memory buffer.

    Abstract: A method for generating a calibration curve is disclosed. The method comprises the following steps. Calibration data of one line image of a previous scan are first provided. Reference pixels are selected from the image line. Then a calibration board is scanned and calibration data of the reference pixels are generated. Calibration data of the reference pixels of a previous scan are then selected from the calibration data of one image line of a previous scan. Ratios of the calibration data of the reference pixels and the calibration data of the reference pixels of a previous scan are calculated. Calibration data of all pixels of the image line are finally generated by multiplying the calibration data of the image fine of a previous scan and the ratios.

Divider means accepts the digital signals for operating each digital signal with dividing a number of scanned times, and whereby prevents an operation of any signal from overflowing. Direct average means accepts the digital signals for summing the digital signals and then divides the number of scanned times, and whereby speeds a calibration operation.

The information of the calibration chart is captured by the image-capture apparatus and then subjected to a correction means, such as a low-pass filter, whereby corrects aberrance of the information.

    Abstract: A calibration method of an image scanning system is provided. Initially, differences between adjacent sensing values of a calibration plate are respectively determined and then stored in a memory. Alternately, a difference between a base value and each of the sensing values of the calibration plate is determined and then stored in the memory. When a normal scan action is executed, simultaneously reading each difference from the memory and adding to one corresponding sensing value of image information of an object obtained by the normal scan action. As a result, the memory volume for storing calibration data is reduced and the reading of calibration data is also facilitated.

The mapping method implemented by the apparatus comprises receiving a digital signal having a high-bit portion and a low-bit portion. The high-bit portion of the digital signal is subjected to a curve table for look-up mapping to get a high-bit signal. The partial high-bit portion is subjected to a slope table for getting a factor. The low-bit portion of the digital signal is calculated with the factor to get a low-bit signal. The high-bit signal is combined with the low-bit signal to get an output signal. The curve table and slope curve can reduce the memory usage of the imaging system.
