  • Patent number: 10249289
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for text-to-speech synthesis using an autoencoder. In some implementations, data indicating a text for text-to-speech synthesis is obtained. Data indicating a linguistic unit of the text is provided as input to an encoder. The encoder is configured to output speech unit representations indicative of acoustic characteristics based on linguistic information. A speech unit representation that the encoder outputs is received. A speech unit is selected to represent the linguistic unit, the speech unit being selected from among a collection of speech units based on the speech unit representation output by the encoder. Audio data for a synthesized utterance of the text that includes the selected speech unit is provided.

  • Publication number: 20190044378
Abstract: A method determines the topology of a DERs system having a plurality of assets, where at least one of the assets is a controllable asset. The method injects a power signal at a given frequency from a controllable asset into the DERs system. The voltage at each of the plurality of assets is measured, and the magnitude of perturbation of the voltage at the given frequency is determined for each of the plurality of assets. The method then constructs the topology of the DERs system as a function of the differences of the magnitude of perturbations of each of the plurality of assets.

  • Publication number: 20190044333
Abstract: An asset manager controls power distribution within an aggregated distributed energy resources system (“DERs system”) having a plurality of assets. The asset manager is configured to operate with a given asset. As such, the asset manager has 1) an interface to receive asset information relating to the given asset and to communicate with another asset manager in the DERs system, and 2) a function generator configured to produce a local cost function using data relating to the given asset only. The local cost function represents a portion of a system cost function for the DERs system. The asset manager also has 3) a controller configured to use the local cost function for the given asset to manage operation of the given asset in the DERs system. In addition, the controller also is configured to determine, using the local cost function, an operating point for the given asset.

  • Patent number: 10176283
Abstract: Techniques for equivalence checking of analog models are disclosed. The models include transistor level representations. The representations are used for simulation and verification of the circuit and are required to give similar output results in response to a given input stimulus. A common input stimulus is created for a first representation and a second representation of a semiconductor circuit. Output waveforms are generated for the first representation and the second representation using the common input stimulus. The first output waveforms and the second output waveforms are checked for equivalence. Signals from the first output waveforms are mapped to the second output waveforms.

  • Patent number: 10163718
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a semiconductor device, a dummy gate structure is formed over a substrate. A first insulating layer is formed over the dummy gate structure. The dummy gate structure is removed so as to form a gate space in the first insulating layer. A first conductive layer is formed in the gate space so as to form a reduced gate space. The reduced gate space is filled with a second conductive layer made of a different material from the first conductive layer. The filled first conductive layer and the second conductive layer are recessed so as to form a first gate recess. A third conductive layer is formed over the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer in the first gate recess. After recessing the filled first conductive layer and the second conductive layer, the second conductive layer protrudes from the first conductive layer.

An example method may include receiving, from a camera, a first image of a scene captured with a first flash light source emitting light with a first color temperature and with a second flash light source emitting light with a second color temperature different from the first color temperature. The first flash light source and the second flash light source may be derived based on a first flash calibration setting of a number of stored flash calibration settings. The example method may also include determining a difference between a desired color characteristic for the first flash calibration setting and a color characteristic of the first image. The example method may further include adjusting the first flash calibration setting based on the determined difference.
