  • Publication number: 20140267692
Abstract: In semiconductor fabrication processes, one or more wafers are often exposed to processes such as chemical vapor deposition to form semiconductor components thereupon. Often, some of the wafers exhibit flaws due to contamination or processing errors occurring before, during, or after component formation. Inspection of the wafers is often performed by direct visual inspection of humans, which is prone to errors due to flaws that are too small to view directly; to particles naturally arising in the human eye; and to fatigue caused by inspection of large numbers of wafers. Presented herein are inspection techniques involving positioning the wafer in a dark chamber exposing the surface of the wafer to a light source at a first angle, and capturing with a camera an image of the light source reflected from the surface of the wafer at a second angle. Wafers identified as exhibiting flaws are removed from the wafer set.

  • Patent number: 8770222
Abstract: An air pump assembly for a power chuck has a frame and two air jet devices. The air jet devices are securely mounted on the frame. Each air jet device has a nozzle and a valve. The nozzle has a main body, a pin and a cap. The pin is mounted in the main body. The cap is mounted around a distal end of the main body and surrounds the pin. The valve may be mounted on a power chuck, faces and aligns with the pin, and has a chunk, a ball and a ball spring. With the air jet devices, the air pump assembly can blow air into a power chuck such that jaws of the power chuck are driven to move.

  • Patent number: 8586810
Abstract: The present invention proposes a chiral diene ligand, a fabrication method thereof and applications thereof. The chiral diene ligand is a bicyclo[2.2.1] diene ligand having structural specificity and high stability, which favors the bicyclo[2.2.1] diene ligand to take part in asymmetric transformations, particularly an asymmetric addition reaction involving a metal catalyst in a basic environment. Most of the products of the reactions implemented by the chiral diene ligands of the present invention have superior optical activity. The method of the present invention comprises a first oxidation step, a saponification step, a second oxidation step, a deprotonation step, and a cross-coupling step. The chiral diene ligand of the present invention is very suitable to be used in the fabrication or synthesis of various chemicals and medical products.

  • Publication number: 20090195474
Abstract: The invention provides a dual-feed planar antenna including a first resonant portion, a second resonant portion, and a grounding portion. The first resonant portion provides a first radiation path and includes a first feed-in portion and a grounding end receiving a grounding level. The first feed-in portion receives a first antenna signal to transmit the first antenna signal to the first radiation path. The second resonant portion provides a second radiation path and a third radiation path and includes a second feed-in portion respectively receiving a second antenna signal and a third antenna signal to correspondingly transmit the second antenna signal and the third antenna signal to the second radiation path and the third radiation path. The grounding portion receives the grounding level and is disposed between the first and second resonant portions. The dual-feed planar antenna covers the communication bands for GSM850, GSM900, GPS, DCS, PCS, and UMTS.

  • Publication number: 20040119249
Abstract: A chuck for gripping a workpiece in a machine includes a chuck body, jaw assemblies and an adapter assembly. A through hole is defined axially in the chuck body. The jaw assemblies are radially and moveably mounted in the chuck body and pivoted by the adapter assembly. The adapter assembly is moveably mounted in the through hole in the chuck body and has a coupling member that is adapted to attach to a draw rod of the machine. The adapter assembly will axially move as the draw rod moves and drive the jaw assemblies inward to grip a workpiece. The coupling member is replaceable and attaches to the draw rod so the chuck is quickly changed without changing the draw rod of the machine.

  • Patent number: 6640686
Abstract: A cylinder has a rotating member, a cap, a piston, a collar, two control valves and two check valves. The piston is moveably mounted between the rotating member and the cap. The piston has a flange dividing the inner space between the rotating member and the cap into two chambers. The control valves are attached to the rotating member, respectively communicate with the chambers and respectively communicate with two I/O channels in the collar. The check valves are attached to the rotating member, respectively communicate with the chambers and respectively communicate with the I/O channels in the collar. Accordingly, the thickness of the flange of the piston can be decreased so as to reduce the weight of the cylinder, and the torsion for rotating the cylinder and the load to the axle of the machine are also reduced.
