  • Publication number: 20080272192
Abstract: Energy exchange equipment is disclosed, which can sell batteries that have been recharged already. A user can buy a new battery from the energy exchange equipment by using a smart card. If a user has an old battery, he can put this old battery in an energy tank on the energy exchange equipment and then extract a new battery. If a user has no old battery, he can directly extract a new battery. The energy exchange equipment then deducts a corresponding amount of money in the smart card based on the electric capacity difference between the extracted new battery and the old battery.

  • Publication number: 20080142828
Abstract: A coaxial light-guide system includes a coaxial light-guide optical fiber which is fabricated by having refractive index profile set on radii. Thus the coaxial circular outer-cladding and the axial inter-cladding have the same refractive index. The light guide refractive index profile center is moved from the axis to the entire radii of the optical fiber. Light propagates between the axial inter-cladding and the coaxial circular outer-cladding. Such a new positioning prevents center-dip in the refractive index profile that occurs to the prior optical fiber after fabrication is finished. The coaxial single-mode optical fiber of the invention has a greater optical flux than the prior optical fiber, and can increase communication distance.

  • Publication number: 20070174401
Abstract: Sending apparatus, receiving apparatus, sending method, receiving method and sending and receiving system for supporting application based MMS. The body of an incremental MMS includes a dynamic data section of MMS, a static data indicator associated with the MMS, and a link tag between indicated static data and the dynamic data. The amount of the message quantity transmitted may be reduced because the changed section of the incremental MMS is sent directly via short message channel in dynamic data mode. In turn, the incremental MMS may be sent via short message channel instead of MMS channel due to the reduction of transmitted message, which further reduces the communication cost.

  • Patent number: 7200292
Abstract: An optical fiber inclinometer comprises a pair of fiber Bragg grating devices, a fixed base, a connection plate, and a rotatable base. One end of the connection plate is fixed to the fixed base, whereas the other end of the connection plate is connected to the rotatable base through the joint of a turning pair mechanism between them. The two ends of each fiber Bragg grating device are installed onto the fixed base and the rotatable base respectively, and the two devices are mounted on the opposite side of the connection plate. Once the rotatable base rotates around the joint of the connection plate, axial tensile elongation occurs in one of the fiber Bragg grating devices, whereas axial compressive deformation occurs in the other device. The rotation angle of the rotatable base relative to the connection plate can be obtained by measuring and calculating the Bragg wavelength drifts of the pair of fiber Bragg grating devices respectively.
