  • Patent number: 6684155
Abstract: A vehicle management system is disclosed to have GPS coordinates of a plurality of checkpoints of entrance gateways and exit gateways of a freeway stored in the memory of a vehicle. When a driver drives in an entrance gateway (or out of an exit gateway) of the freeway and an on-vehicle processor of the vehicle compares the current GPS coordinates of the vehicle to be matched with GPS coordinates of one entrance (exit) checkpoint stored in the memory, the on-vehicle processor controls a wireless communication device to wirelessly send the code number of the corresponding entrance (exit) and the license number of the vehicle to a remote control center for log-in (log-out). According to the log-in/log-out data, the control center can control the traffic volume, electronic toll collection, stolen car tracking, or motorcade, . . . and etc. of the freeway.

  • Publication number: 20030222768
Abstract: An on-vehicle flood alarm system is disclosed to install a water level sensor in the bottom side of the floor of the motor vehicle, which water level sensor works when the motor vehicle's ignition switch turned off, and sends a control signal to a microprocessor when the distance between the water level sensor and the level of water accumulated on the ground became shorter than a predetermined distance, which microprocessor drives a GSM communication device to give a flood alarm short message to the owner of the motor vehicle when continuously received the control signal ten times within two minutes. By means of the aforesaid performance, the on-vehicle flood alarm system informs the owner of the motor vehicle to take the necessary action at an early stage, preventing soaking of the motor vehicle in water and reducing the cost of repairing.

  • Publication number: 20030195819
Abstract: A moving value chain system is disclosed, which uses a remote ordering apparatus to order merchandise and/or service from a customer service center server wirelessly, which customer service center server in turn transmits the order data from the remote ordering apparatus to a contracted store through a network system, enabling the contracted store to provide merchandise and/or service subject to the order data. The system further includes an issuing bank, which provides an approval code to the customer service center server after verified the credit status of the credit card number corresponding to an addressed communication access number received from the customer service center server, enabling the user to use the credit card to order merchandise and to complete the transaction wirelessly on the real time.

  • Publication number: 20030100339
Abstract: The invention uses a microprocessor to compare current geometric location information computed by a global positioning unit with geometric location information of traffic condition locations received from a traffic condition control center through a radio transmitting receiving unit, and to select geometric location information of traffic condition locations and corresponding traffic condition information subject to a predetermined condition for output through an output unit. Therefore, the invention provides real time traffic condition information dynamically subject to the current geometric location of the user to fit individual needs.

  • Patent number: 6564147
Abstract: A GPS traveling control system includes a GPS global positioning device, a memory device, and a microprocessor. The GPS global positioning device receives signals from the global positioning satellites and then derives global positioning data. The memory device stores at least one corresponding control condition and one instruction. The microprocessor determines whether the global positioning data is matched to the control condition, and then controls the corresponding component to execute the corresponding instruction. The present invention can monitor the track of a vehicle automatically, and can automatically control one of the components in the vehicle to execute a corresponding instruction according to a matched control condition.

  • Publication number: 20030050095
Abstract: An On-Board wireless transaction system including a card reader/writer and a GSM modem, and adapted for use in a motor vehicle to directly order commodities wirelessly and complete the transaction on the real time. The card reader/writer reads value-added points from a fare card. An On-Board Unit deducts the transaction points from the value-added points and writes the balance points into the fare card upon an ordering demand, and wirelessly transmits the PIN of the fare card and the data of the transaction points with the GSM modem through a GSM wireless network to a shop-end computer for enabling the contracted shop to provide the commodity and to complete the transaction. The shop-end computer has the function of calculating the accumulated transaction points corresponding every PIN (personal identification number) of the fare card for providing a bonus accumulated points promotion.
