  • Patent number: 9859617
Abstract: An antenna methodology where a set of antennas are formed that take the shape of a mobile wireless device and can be integrated into the outer housing of the mobile device. Tuning points are integrated into the design to provide the capability to compensate for hand effects and loading while the mobile device and antenna are touched by the user. The body then becomes a part of the antenna and acts as an anchor for the poles within the matching circuit. These antennas are actively tuned based on detection criteria while dynamically tracking system performance. The structure is based on a loaded loop coupled to an isolated magnetic dipole (IMD) element. The loop is actively tuned according to design rules residing in a processor in the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 9770955
Abstract: A lock for securing a trailer hitch includes a latching member, a position-limiting assembly, and a housing. The position-limiting assembly includes first and second position-limiting members, a magnetic member, and a securing pin. The first position-limiting member is configured for detachable engagement with the latching member. The second position-limiting member is mounted in the housing, receives the magnetic member, and is slidably connected to the first position-limiting member via the securing pin in order to be moved to an engaged position and a disengaged position. When at the engaged position, the second position-limiting member is mounted to the latching member due to the magnetic member and thereby fixes the first position-limiting member in position. When at the disengaged position, the second position-limiting member is separate from an end portion of the latching member to allow detachment of the first position-limiting member from the latching member.

  • Patent number: 9692122
Abstract: An active antenna system and algorithm is described that provides for dynamic tuning and optimization of antenna system parameters for a MIMO system where correlation and isolation between antennas in the system are dynamically altered to provide for greater throughput. As one or multiple antennas are loaded or de-tuned due to environmental changes, corrections to correlation and/or isolation are made by selecting the optimal antenna radiation pattern and by adjusting electrical length and/or reactive loading of transmission lines connecting the antennas. Multiple Isolated Magnetic Dipole (IMD) antennas are co-located and connected with a feed network that can include switches that adjust phase length for transmission lines connecting the antennas. Filtering is integrated into the feed network to improve rejection of unwanted frequencies. Filtering can also be implemented on the antenna structure.

  • Publication number: 20170147517
Abstract: A direct memory access (DMA) system is implemented in an electronic device that communicates with a host device via a communication bus, and includes an available descriptor notification circuit and a DMA controller. The available descriptor notification circuit indicates whether at least one valid descriptor is available in the host device. The available descriptor notification circuit is set by at least the host device. The at least one valid descriptor records DMA data transfer control information. The DMA controller fetches the at least one valid descriptor from the host device when the available descriptor notification circuit indicates that the at least one valid descriptor is available in the host device, and refers to the at least one valid descriptor fetched from the host device to perform a DMA data transfer between the electronic device and the host device.

  • Publication number: 20170129202
Abstract: A pressed powder element forming machine is provided, in which an adjustable core insert is provided in a compression chamber of a machine body and a forming space is provided between the compression chamber and the core insert. A sealing cover is used to close the forming space through a breathable material. When making dry or wet pressed powder element, dry loose powder or wet loose powder is fed into the forming space and the core insert is actuated to press the dry loose powder or wet loose powder into pre-pressed powder blank. Simultaneously, an evacuating power source connected between the sealing cover and the machine body performs air evacuation or solvent extraction from the forming space, so as to press the loose powder into compact pressed powder element. In this manner, production efficiency of making pressed powder element is increased.

  • Patent number: 9600741
Abstract: A plurality of instances of image data can be analyzed, and favored aspects of each instance identified and utilized in generating an enhanced output image. For example, a plurality of instances of image data can be analyzed to identify metric values associated with each pixel location, such as contrast, saturation, and exposedness. A weight map corresponding to each metric is generated for each instance of image data, each weight map indicating a value for the metric at each pixel location of the instance of image data. The weight maps associated with each instance of image data are merged, and a Gaussian pyramid of the merged weight map for each instance of image data is determined along with a Laplacian pyramid for each instance of image data. The Gaussian pyramids and Laplacian pyramids are merged into a Laplacian pyramid, which is then collapsed to form an enhanced output image.

  • Publication number: 20170056201
Abstract: The present invention provides an intervertebral fusion apparatus for positioning and combining vertebrae, which use a solidifiable material and an intervertebral fusion cage concurrently. By diffusing the solidifiable material from the top or bottom surface of the intervertebral fusion cage, the contact area with vertebrae and hence the stability can be increased. In addition, the intervertebral fusion cage provided by the present invention can further include a wing member connected pivotally on the side and operated concurrently with the solidifiable material to change the shape and thus avoid slipping off the operation opening. By using the intervertebral fusion apparatus, the stability of the intervertebral fusion cage during and after surgeries can be improved effectively. Thereby, the success rate and safety of vertebral fusion surgeries can be increased.
