    Abstract: A ring binder has an elongate body and rings. Each ring includes ring members moveable between open and closed positions. The ring members and body can suitably formed together as one piece from a moldable polymeric material. The binder suitably includes a retaining system operable to selectively and releasably hold the ring members in the closed position. When the ring members are in their open position, loose-leaf pages can be added or removed from the rings. Loose-leaf pages can also be moved from one ring member to another when the ring members are in their open position.

At least one ring member for each ring is a separately formed ring member and comprises a ring portion and an anchor connected to the ring portion. The at least one separately formed ring member is formed separately from the body. The anchor of the separately formed ring member is secured to the body for pivoting movement relative to the body. An intermediate connector operably connects the travel bar to the actuator. A biasing member is engageable with the intermediate connector and at least one of the travel bar and actuator for biasing the travel bar toward the locked position.

A metal ring support is supported between the lateral sides for movement relative to the housing. Each of a plurality of rings includes a first ring member mounted on the ring support for movement therewith to open and close the rings. The housing applies a spring force biasing the ring support toward the open position when the first ring member is proximate its open position and biasing the ring support to the closed position when the first ring member is proximate its closed position. The housing spring force is the only spring force applied to the ring support that moves the ring support.

The magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles can be used for absorbing microwave radiation to accelerate the enrichment and linkage for phosphorylated species onto the metal oxide nano-composite magnetic material. Furthermore, the magnetic property of magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles leads to isolation of the metal oxide nano-composite magnetic material-target species conjugates by simply employing an external magnetic field.

A hinge plate actuator has a bearing surface engageable with the hinge plates proximate the free ends thereof upon movement of the actuator from a first position toward a second position thereof such that the hinge plates bend proximate their free ends to delay pivoting movement of the hinge plates upon initial movement of the actuator from its first position toward its second position.

In the closed position, upper ends of the curved portions of the pair of half ring members abut against each other in a face to face manner, and the opposite curved portions form an upwardly directed arc.

When the legs are in the relatively shorter configuration, the stand may be used to support the structure in an inclined position on a work surface. When the legs are in the longer configuration, the stand may be used to retain the structure in self-supporting configuration so the structure can support itself upright on the work surface.
