  • Publication number: 20100309388
Abstract: A method for performing channel scan within a multi-channel broadcasting program receiver includes: calculating a plurality of frequency representatives of intermediate frequency (IF) signals of one or more received multi-channel broadcasting program signals within a specific band of a plurality of bands; and locating a video IF signal out of the IF signals according to the frequency representatives in order to determine a frequency of a video carrier corresponding to the specific band, wherein the frequency of the video carrier is utilized as a reference for tuning to an associated channel. An associated multi-channel broadcasting program receiver includes a tuner, a processing module, a memory and a controller. The tuner is arranged to select one of a plurality of channels. In particular, the controller controls channel scan and further utilizes the frequency of the video carrier corresponding to the specific band as the reference for tuning to the associated channel.

  • Publication number: 20100286947
Abstract: A resilience and displacement measuring device is disclosed, which is configured with a shaft having a displacement detection module and a force detection module disposed respectively at the two ends thereof. When the shaft is moved for driving a probe of the force detection module to press on a tested press-key, a reflective panel in the displacement detection module will be caused to displace along with the moving of the shaft for allowing a light sensor to measure the displacement of the shaft, and the same time that the pressing of the probe on the press-key will force a detection film to deform for allowing a stain gauge to measure a resilience. The device is capable of dividing a measurement range into a plurality of sub-ranges while designing calculation models specifically for the sub-ranges, by that a precise distance can be obtained from the measured distance information of calculation models.

  • Patent number: 7613952
Abstract: A method for facilitating basic input and output system (BIOS) testing is provided. In the method, a BIOS program code to be tested is loaded into a memory unit by a BIOS debugging card to execute a boot operation testing. The method of BIOS testing utilizes an uninterruptible power supply memory disposed on the motherboard. The uninterruptible power supply memory is powered with a battery, thus it can store the data of a command in executing during shutdown. By using this characteristic of the uninterruptible power supply memory, the tester can still obtain the debugging code last stored during the previous boot from the uninterruptible power supply memory when rebooting, thus preventing the debugging code generated in the BIOS debugging flow from disappearing due to the abnormal shutdown and resulting in the failure to get the source of the problem for the tester, increasing the efficiency of debugging.
