  • Patent number: 8941827
Abstract: Measuring device of the present invention includes a plurality of measuring sites for generating a plurality of optical paths and various dilutions. The range for concentration measurement and the measurement accuracy are enhanced due to the plurality of optical path length, and the interference on the measurement ranges and results caused by the concentration or the turbidity of suspended solid is reduced and removed by water sample dilution, and thus the characteristic wavelengths of the components in the water are measured. Next, the information of spectrum database is used to determine the ingredients which may exist in the water (qualitative analysis), and UV-VIS-NIR absorbance spectrum analysis is used to obtain the concentration of the respective ingredients in the water at the same time (quantitative analysis).

  • Publication number: 20150025277
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention describe systems and methods for production of methyl isobutyl ketone (MIBK) from acetone and hydrogen in a two-step process. In a first step, acetone is converted to a product stream containing mesityl oxide (MO) at a temperature in the range of about 0-120° C. and a pressure in the range of about 1-3 atm. The composition of the product stream from the first reaction step is adjusted so that the resulting stream can undergo a favorable liquid-liquid separation in a decanter, and an MO rich product stream can be recovered. The composition of the feed to the decanter is controlled by choosing the number of reactor stages for the first reaction step and their operating temperatures, and/or by recycling some MIBK to the decanter feed. The method does not require a substantially complete conversion of acetone in the first reaction step, nor does it require a removal of DAA from the product of the first reaction step by separation.

  • Publication number: 20150012901
Abstract: A fixed-outline floorplanning approach for mixed-size modules is disclosed. Firstly, evenly distribute mixed-size circuit modules to whole chip area based on different requirements such as wire-length, routability, or thermal in the global distribution stage. To maintain the global distribution result and satisfy the fixed-outline constraint, generate a slicing tree by recursively applying partition algorithm to divide modules distributed in a given region into several sub-regions. Then, to remove overlap between circuit modules and find a best solution, use bottom-up shape curve merging and top-down back tracing procedure to generate a slicing tree. The shape curve for each leaf in the tree is built first by enumerated packing. Then, the curves in the tree are merged iteratively from bottom to top, and feasible solutions in the shape curve of the root node are identified according to the fixed-outline constraint. Finally, the best solution is determined by a top-down back tracing procedure.

  • Patent number: 8722545
Abstract: A method of forming a transistor is disclosed, in which gate-to-substrate leakage is addressed by forming and maintaining a conformal oxide layer overlying the transistor gate. Using the method disclosed for an n-type device, the conformal oxide layer can be formed as part of the source-drain doping process. Subsequent removal of residual phosphorous dopants from the surface of the oxide layer is accomplished without significant erosion of the oxide layer. The removal step uses a selective deglazing process that employs a hydrolytic reaction, and an acid-base neutralization reaction that includes an ammonium hydroxide component.

  • Patent number: 8601419
Abstract: An accurate process hotspot detection technique based on DRC is provided. In this technique, critical DRC rules can be extracted from a pattern. This extraction can include generating horizontal tiles and vertical tiles in the pattern, and adding directed edges to indicate relations between adjacent tiles in the pattern. Rule rectangles, which can also be generated during the critical DRC rule extraction, describe polygon placement in the pattern with a minimal number of critical DRC rules. The extracted DRC rules can be included in a DRC runset file. DRC can be performed with the DRC runset file on a layout. The DRC results can be filtered using the rule rectangles to identify potential hotspots and to verify actual hotspots.

  • Patent number: 8589435
Abstract: Data flow in a database statement for a database management system having memory storing a database is simplified. The statement has at least two sequenced subexpressions, evaluation of which is driven by a sequencing operation. A reference to a first sequenced subexpression in a second sequenced subexpression subsequent to the first sequenced subexpression is determined. The reference affirming evaluation of the first sequenced subexpression is determined. A first evaluation order for conflicting table accesses between the first sequenced subexpression and other table accesses in the statement is determined. A second evaluation order between the other table accesses and the determined reference is also determined. The sequencing operation for the first sequenced subexpression is modified based on a sequential arrangement of the determined reference and the first sequenced subexpression according to the first evaluation order and the second evaluation order.

The orthotic device can comprise a body brace, a primary body panel, and a secondary body panel configured to be releasably attached to the primary body panel. The subject invention addresses the problem of patients being required to purchase multiple orthotic devices in order to receive multiple levels of support by allowing a single orthotic device to provide a variable amount of support. In one embodiment, the variable amount of support is achieved by providing both a primary body panel and a secondary body panel, with the secondary body panel configured to be removably attached to the primary body panel.
