  • Patent number: 9416315
Abstract: The present invention discloses a liquid crystal composition, a liquid crystal mixture and a liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal composition comprises one or more types of first liquid crystal molecules substituted by difluoroalkenyl group and one or more types of second liquid crystal molecules for vertical alignment. The probability of polymerization between polymerizable monomers and the first liquid crystal molecules can be effectively reduced by the steric effect caused by the difluoroalkenyl group of the first liquid crystal molecules during a process of polymer alignment. Thus, the probability of polymerization occurred between the polymerizable monomers and polyimide on the surface of an alignment film is increased, so as to solve the problem of the image sticking.

  • Publication number: 20150247088
Abstract: The present invention discloses a liquid crystal medium of a liquid crystal panel. Liquid crystal compounds based on a tetracene derivative are bonded to alkenyl groups of liquid crystal molecules used as a diluting agent by doping the liquid crystal compounds based on the tetracene derivative into a liquid crystal mixture, for preventing a reaction between alkenyl groups of the liquid crystal molecules used as the diluting agent and polymerizable compounds, thereby inhibiting a bond between alkenyl groups of the liquid crystal molecules used as the diluting agent and the polymerizable compounds. The present invention is capable of improving the problem of image sticking produced via bonding the polymerizable compounds to alkenyl groups of the liquid crystal molecules used as the diluting agent.

  • Patent number: 9034203
Abstract: The present invention discloses a liquid crystal (LC) molecule having a five-membered ring structure and a mixture thereof. A traditional LC molecule is modified into the LC molecule having the five-membered ring structure. The rotational viscosity of the LC molecule within an LC panel is decreased by properties of the five-membered ring structure, so that the LC molecule having the five-membered ring structure has a fast off-time than that of the traditional LC molecule. The present invention can decrease the rotational viscosity of the LC molecule within the LC panel by modification of the five-membered ring structure of the LC molecule, and thus the problem of cross-talk effect produced from switching a two-dimensional mode to a three-dimensional mode in an LC display can be improved.

  • Patent number: 8741398
Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid crystal panel and an alignment film thereof, and the alignment film is made of a modified polyimide which has conjugated double bond at side chain. Resistance value of the alignment film is less than the resistance value of a liquid crystal material of the liquid crystal panel by properties of the conjugated double bond that can reduce the resistance value of a prior art polyimide. In addition, improving the imidization ratio of a modified polyimide alignment film is important. The present invention is conducted the charged ion from liquid crystal layer to the alignment film by the conjugated double bond of the modified polyimide at the side chain to prevent the increase in the ion density of the liquid crystal in part of this area, and improve the problem of image sticking.

  • Publication number: 20140146275
Abstract: The present invention provides a reactive monomer of liquid crystal on a polyimide surface of an alignment film and a liquid crystal panel. The molecular weight of the reactive monomer of liquid crystal is ranged between 322 and 500, and the UV wavelength for polymerizing and curing the reactive monomer of liquid crystal and the polyimide surface is greater than or equal to 300 nm. The reactive monomer of liquid crystal can lower the interaction between the reactive monomer of liquid crystal and the PI surface of the alignment film, so as to improve the phenomenon of drop Mura defect occurred during implementing the ODF technology. Meanwhile, because the curing speed of polymerization and curing reaction is relatively raised, it can also carry out a purpose of energy saving and carbon reduction.

  • Publication number: 20140132899
Abstract: The present invention provides a photosensitive monomer, a liquid crystal composition containing the photosensitive monomer and a vertical alignment liquid crystal panel. The range of absorption wavelength of the photosensitive monomer of the present invention overlaps with the range of an ultraviolet lamp by increasing the length of a hard core. Thus, comparing with the conventional reactive monomer (RM), the photosensitive monomer of the present invention has a faster curing speed to solve the image sticking issue due to a high monomer residue.
