    Abstract: A multi-piece wheel frame includes a rim and a disc. The rim includes a barrel, and an outer rim portion protruding outwardly from the barrel. The outer rim portion forms an inclined surface, and a ring edge surface connected to an outer edge of the inclined surface and cooperating with the inclined surface to form an obtuse angle. The disc is fixed to the rim, and includes a disc core, a plurality of spoke portions extending radially outwardly from the disc core, and a reinforced ring portion connected to the spoke portions and fixed to the outer rim portion. The reinforced ring portion abuts against at least one of the inclined surface and the ring edge surface.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a suction roller which is capable of being adopted for sucking an object. The suction roller is provided with a negative pressure inside thereof and at least one opening for sucking the object by at least one valve disposed in each opening respectively for selectively controlling the on-off of the negative pressure through the opening. During the rotation of the suction roller, the valves in a specific area are capable of being opened so that the negative pressure can pass through the openings with respect to the opened valve to suck the object and transport the object subsequently. In another embodiment, the present invention also provides a transporting apparatus combining the suction roller and a guiding mechanism for transporting the object and compensating the shifting during the moving of the object.

    Abstract: An optical fiber is disclosed, which is comprised of: a core, having a plurality of microstructures formed thereon; and a cladding layer, surrounding the core. In a preferred embodiment, as light is transmitting along the axis of the aforesaid optical fiber and strikes on the plural microstructures, it is scattered and reflected out of the optical fiber through a side wall thereof so as to achieve a side-emitting effect. As the microstructures are formed inside the core of the aforesaid optical fiber, not only they are prevented from being damaged by normal usage, contacting to adhesive directly, but also they can lower the risk of the optical fiber being snapped/deformed while the optical fiber is subjecting to an external force and bended. In addition, by controlling the shape, quantity, size, distribution density and location of the microstructure, the brightness of the side-emitting optical fiber can be adjusted correspondingly.

    Abstract: A flexible backlight module and a system for manufacturing the same. The flexible backlight module comprises: a bottom flexible panel, having a plurality of troughs arranged thereon; at least a light guide device, each being disposed in one of the troughs corresponding thereto, capable of guiding light to be discharged from the opening of the corresponding trough; and a top flexible panel, laid over the bottom flexible panel to receive the light discharged from each trough while emitting the received light therefrom. The system for manufacturing the flexible backlight module is capable of mass-producing the aforesaid flexible backlight module in an automatic fashion. The flexible backlight module of the invention can not only overcome the problems of high power consumption and heat dissipating in conventional backlight modules, but also be used as the light source of high brightness liquid crystal displays.

    Abstract: An automatic embossing device for plastic floor tile comprises a main frame, a pressing wheel module, a tape supply control wheel module, a position mark sensing module, a tape tension-balancing module, and a tape supply module. When the pressing process for plastic floor tile is performed, the rotation speed of the pressing wheel is first set. The rotation speed of the tape supply control wheel is then set. A zero-point position of rotation angle on the pressing wheel is randomly set. A computer is used to partition and determine a plurality of angle positions; The computer is used to compare the signal of the angle position to that of the position mark on the printed tape to obtain a time difference when the pressing process starts. A distance difference is obtained from the time difference. The computer is used to calculate out the speed compensation according to the rotation speed of the tape supply, control wheel and to adjust immediately the rotation speed of the tape supply control wheel.
