  • Publication number: 20200389282
Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved random access operations. For example, certain embodiments may benefit from improved random access in which multiple bandwidth parts are configured to a user equipment within one cell. A method, in certain embodiments, may include triggering a random access procedure at a user equipment. The method may also include switching at the user equipment from a first uplink bandwidth part that does not support a random access channel to a second uplink bandwidth part that has the random access channel configured after the triggering of the random access procedure. The switching may be autonomously performed by the user equipment. In addition, the method may include performing the random access procedure at the user equipment using the random access channel configured at the second uplink bandwidth part.

  • Publication number: 20200359314
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to handling wake up signaling in discontinuous reception. A method comprises determining, at an apparatus, whether an active time during which the apparatus monitors transmissions from a further apparatus overlaps with at least one occasion for monitoring wake up signaling. The method further comprises in response to the active time overlapping with the at least one occasion, skipping monitoring wake up signaling on the at least one occasion. • Publication number: 20200351949
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to contention resolution in random access procedure. An apparatus transmits a random access request to a further apparatus, and the random access request comprises a random access preamble and an identifier of the apparatus for a random access procedure. The apparatus then receives, from the further apparatus, control information on a control channel addressed to the identifier, and the control information indicates at least one of a resource and timing information for communication between the apparatus and the further apparatus. Next, the apparatus determines a result of the random access procedure based at least in part on the control information.

  • Patent number: 10798693
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method for confirming uplink semi-persistent scheduling deactivation and a terminal device. In example embodiments, an indication of uplink semi-persistent scheduling deactivation is received from a base station while the terminal device stores data available for uplink transmission. Then, confirmation of the deactivation is sent to the base station. Such confirmation of the deactivation may notify the base station that the terminal device has received the indication of the uplink semi-persistent scheduling deactivation and further that the uplink semi-persistent scheduling will be deactivated at the terminal device.
