  • Publication number: 20170290443
Abstract: An infant bed and chair that includes: a base; a back support attached to the base; and at least one vertical support attached to an underside of the back support, wherein the at least one vertical supports enable vertical elevation of the back support. The infant bed and chair may further include slit openings along an inner surface of the back support and along an inner surface of the base. Preferably, the infant bed and chair may include a cushion. In one particular embodiment, the at least one vertical support elevates the back support to about a 30-degree angle.

  • Patent number: 8310926
Abstract: Load balancing across RF channels in a cable plant is challenging where individual cable modems have multiple receive/transmit channels. Load balancing may be taken into account in the assignments of channels to requesting modems in a registration process. Requesting modems may be registered in a sequence of descending order defined by the number of channels requested. Channel sets may be selected to minimize a maximum delta metric of load balancing. It is preferred to normalize the “weight” of a modem on a channel based on the modem capabilities. The relative weight may be inversely related to the number of channels supported by the modem. Load balancing techniques disclosed may be applied to both upstream and downstream channels. Current load balance quality is estimated and reported to an operator.

  • Patent number: 7000021
Abstract: Systems and methods for retransmitting unsuccessfully transmitted data across a communication link. The retransmission mechanism may be applied to point to multipoint networks including wireless networks. Each packet is encapsulated in an ARQ frame and assigned a sequence number for the purpose of coordinating acknowledgments and retransmissions. Information as to which packets require retransmission is communicated in the form of a bitmap where each bit indicates an acknowledgment status for a given packet. Any missing packets in the received sequence are assumed to require retransmission.
