An example cosmetic implement comprises a handle coupled to an applicator via a swivel connector. In some examples, when the movable ferrule is in a first position the applicator may be used in a traditional manner; however, when the ferrule is placed in a second position the applicator may be tilted at an angle, for a more efficient application of product to certain areas of the face, neck, head, or body of a person.

Abstract: Tweezer-applicators having an applicator arranged linearly with tweezers are disclosed. The applicator may comprise a substantially flat rectangular shaped group of bristles that are arranged substantially straight along a linear axis of the tweezer-applicator. By virtue of having an applicator arranged substantially straight along the linear axis and in line with the tweezers, a user may grip the tweezers without the applicator interfering with a grip of a user and provide the user with precision while applying product to a portion of a body.

Abstract: A cosmetic apparatus includes a telescopic handle for extending and retracting an applicator head. The cosmetic apparatus may include an applicator head associated with a handle comprising a plurality of stems coaxially arranged and movable along a longitudinal axis of the cosmetic apparatus via a telescopic mechanism. The applicator head may be extended by partially removing a first stem of the plurality of stems from a longitudinal cavity of a second stem of the plurality of stems. The applicator head may be retracted by inserting the first stem at least partially into the longitudinal cavity of the second stem. The cosmetic apparatus configured for telescopically extending and retracting an applicator head may streamline application of cosmetic product and/or storage of cosmetic apparatuses.

Abstract: A cosmetic brush cleaning apparatus and processes for streamlining cleaning, drying, and/or storing cosmetic brushes are described. The cosmetic brush cleaning apparatus may include elevated elements to aid in cleaning and drawing out make-up, dirt, debris, etc., in the fibrous heads of cosmetic brushes. The cosmetic brush cleaning apparatus may include draining mechanisms for removing excess water resulting from the cleaning process. The cosmetic brush cleaning apparatus may include an elevated wall that follows a contour of the cosmetic brush cleaning apparatus for retaining water within the elevated wall of the cosmetic cleaning apparatus and/or securing cosmetic brushes for drying and storing cosmetic brushes. The cosmetic brush cleaning apparatus may include one or more additional drying elements for drying and/or storing the cosmetic brushes. The cosmetic brush cleaning system enables users to deep clean cosmetic brushes efficiently and conveniently dry and/or store the cosmetic brushes.

The cosmetic implement may include a locking mechanism to retain the implement in the stored state. Abstract: A cleaning apparatus and processes for storing and/or streamlining cleaning cosmetic brushes are described. The cleaning apparatus may include a sheet of flexible material that may have multiple rows of flexible flaps associated with the sheet. The flexible flaps may include openings for securing cosmetic brushes. Cosmetic brushes may be inserted into openings in flaps in a first row and openings in flaps in a second row, vertically aligned with the first row. Once inserted, the cosmetic brushes may be secured by flexible material in the openings. Heads of the cosmetic brushes may extend beyond a top edge of the sheet so that they may be exposed to cleaning solutions and water. A user may form a roll with the sheet to clean multiple cosmetic brushes at a time. The cleaning apparatus may include hanging mechanisms for hanging the cleaning apparatus to dry and/or store the cosmetic brushes.

At least a portion of the cosmetic instrument may change from a first color to a second color in response to occurrence of a condition, such as exposure to electromagnetic radiation (e.g., ultraviolet light or infrared light) or when a temperature of the cosmetic instrument is within a predetermined temperature range. For example, one or more portions of the handle and/or applicator of the cosmetic instrument may be configured to change color in response to the occurrence of the condition.

Abstract: A cosmetic brush system for applying a product to a surface is disclosed. The cosmetic brush system may include a displaceable cap coupled to a handle and a group of bristles fixed to one end of the handle. The displaceable cap may be slideably or peelably coupled to the handle. The handle may include ballast to position a centroid of the cosmetic brush closer to the end of the handle. In embodiments where the displaceable cap is a slideable cap, an end cap may be fixed to the end of the handle and the slideable cap and the end cap may form a uniform elongated cylindrical shape having the same outer diameter. The displaceable cap may also include a ventilation system. By virtue of having a displaceable cap permanently coupled to the handle of the cosmetic brush system, the user cannot misplace the cap and the system is portable and convenient.

Abstract: A retractable cosmetic implement may be movable between multiple different use positions. In one example, the cosmetic implement may include a housing elongated along a longitudinal axis, a multi-stop positioning mechanism disposed within the housing, an applicator coupled to the positioning mechanism at a first end of the housing, and a push-button for engaging the positioning mechanism, the push-button disposed at a second end of the housing. By actuating the positioning mechanism, the applicator may move through an opening to a partially extended position and/or a fully extended position from a retracted position. The applicator may have a material characteristic, such as a density of bristles, affected by its position relative to a rim of the opening applying a force against the applicator.

Abstract: Two-in-one cosmetic systems having a tweezer removably disposed in a handle are disclosed. The tweezer may be removably disposed in a handle of the applicator, such that the tweezer is restrained and a pinching tip of the tweezer is in a closed position. By virtue of having a tweezer restrained and having a pinching tip in a closed position, the pinching tip of the tweezers remain sharp and undamaged until a time of use.

Abstract: Cosmetic brushes are often transported within bags, purses, etc. To ensure long life of the same, cosmetic brushes should occasionally be cleaned and allowed to dry prior to next use. A brush support device may provide protection of bristles of cosmetic brushes during transportation, be configured to hold the brush in a bristles-down support configuration during drying and/or after use, and ensure uniformity as the bristles dry. The brush support device may include a gripping portion to grip a handle or a ferrule portion of the brush, a stand portion to support the brush in bristles-down position, and a vent portion in between the gripping and stand portions. By virtue of the vent portion, air is able to flow over and around the bristles to facilitate drying.
