  • Publication number: 20240010496
Abstract: The present invention addresses to a plasma reactor for the thermal and/or plasmatic decomposition of hydrocarbon molecules aiming at the production of carbon nanotubes on a large scale, as well as amorphous carbon of superior quality in terms of purity. Because it is operated at pressures close to the atmospheric pressure and can operate in a continuous flow regime, said reactor has a superior capacity for the production of carbon nanotubes. The hydrocarbon pyrolysis by means of thermal plasma or the heat derived therefrom produces carbonaceous material that presents a higher purity content than those obtained by the methods most used in the production of solid carbon, which are based, generally, on the burning of part of the load hydrocarbon.

  • Patent number: 9810427
Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel apparatus and way for directing a supply of compressed air into a fuel nozzle assembly for mixing with a fuel source. The apparatus comprises a fuel nozzle assembly having a plurality of coaxial tubes and radially-extending swirler vanes for directing a supply of fuel to a mixing tube. Compressed air is directed to flow in a primarily axial direction by passing through a hemispherically-shaped dome portion at an air inlet region of the fuel nozzle assembly. The hemispherically-shaped dome includes a plurality of openings for directing air into the fuel nozzle assembly in a direction having a radial and axial component.

  • Patent number: 9644479
Abstract: The invention is a device for sampling fluids under pressure from a well which comprises a chamber for retaining the fluid within a sample chamber (01). The chambers includes a first piston which allows or prevents fluid inflow into the lower part of the chamber. The first piston is displaced by means comprising an elastic element (20) disposed in a chamber filled with oil and connected to the piston by a rod (04). Sampled fluid transfer means allows control of the descent of a second piston (02) from the upper part to the lower part of the chamber so that the fluid remains at constant pressure in chamber during the transfer.

  • Publication number: 20160281978
Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel apparatus and way for directing a supply of compressed air into a fuel nozzle assembly for mixing with a fuel source. The apparatus comprises a fuel nozzle assembly having one or more coaxial flow dividers and radially-extending swirler vanes for directing a supply of fuel to a mixing tube. Compressed air is directed to flow in a primarily axial direction by passing through one or more coaxial flow dividers spaced axially and radially about the air inlet region of the fuel nozzle assembly so as to form a non-uniform radial distribution of compressed air to the inlet region of the fuel nozzle assembly.

  • Publication number: 20050018724
Abstract: Laser frequency locking apparatus (5), comprising: a slave laser (15), having associated with it means (14, 18) for coupling and/or means (18, 25) for coupling and propagating signals received and emitted; a phase lock loop (24); and a controller (16), operable to control the slave laser, wherein an output of a reference signal source (1) associated with a master source (2, 3), and receivable therefrom, is utilised in the phase lock loop to render the output frequency of the slave laser the same as an output frequency of the master source. The invention described relates to a technique for generating a set of highly stable optical frequency channels. There are provided methods and systems of locking laser frequencies and of synthesizing frequencies.
