  • Patent number: 7264350
Abstract: A wearable audio device in the form of eyeglasses speaker mounts supported by the frames of the eyeglass. The speaker mounts are constructed so as to provide independent adjustment in a plurality of directions.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 12, 2004
Date of Patent: September 4, 2007
    Assignee: Oakley, Inc.
Inventors: James Jannard, Davin Saderholm, Carlos Reyes, Colin Baden, Summer Lane Bruns, Michael Webb, Eric Bernard Daniels
  • Patent number: 7216443
Abstract: Disclosed is an elevated support matrix for a shoe, which may either form a sole, heel, or sole and heel combination. The matrix is formed of metal, or other high-tensile materials. To minimize the weight of the matrix, but still maintain the structural integrity of the matrix and properly support the wearer's foot, passageways are created in the matrix. The passageways result in void space and lattice, which have corresponding volumes. The increased volume of void space correlates with an overall weight reduction. A support matrix is thus provided that takes advantage of higher-tensile materials to create a reduced weight structurally maintained support matrix. Methods of manufacturing the matrix are also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 31, 2005
Date of Patent: May 15, 2007
    Assignee: Oakley, Inc.
Inventors: Colin Baden, David Lee Davis
  • Patent number: 7216973
Abstract: An eyeglass can have a digital audio file storage and playback device and earphones supported by the eyeglass frame so as to provide a personal and portable audio player integrated into eyeglasses.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 28, 2003
Date of Patent: May 15, 2007
    Assignee: Oakley, Inc.
Inventors: James Jannard, Davin Saderholm, Carlos Reyes, Colin Baden, Samner Lane Bruns, Michael Webb, Eric Bernard Daniels
  • Patent number: 7213917
Abstract: A wearable audio interface includes a support for positioning the plurality of speakers juxtaposed to and spaced from the ears of a wearer. The audio device can include wireless networking electronics so as to allow the device to interact with other wireless network devices.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 28, 2006
Date of Patent: May 8, 2007
    Assignee: Oakley, Inc.

  • Patent number: 7147324
Abstract: A wearable audio device in the form of eyeglasses speaker mounts supported by the frames of the eyeglass. The speaker mounts are constructed so as to be translatable along the ear stems of the eyeglass. This allows a wearer to move the speakers without changing the shape of the speaker mount, which can occur where the speaker mounts are made from some flexible materials.
