The method includes generating a tokenized PAN associated with a gift account and transmitting the tokenized PAN and gift limitations to a second computing device. The method includes detecting a transaction authorization request that is representative of an attempted transaction at a merchant POS device based on monitoring of transaction authorization data originating from a plurality of merchant POS devices. The transaction authorization request represents an attempted tokenized PAN, an attempted transaction amount and a merchant code. The method includes determining that the attempted tokenized PAN matches the tokenized PAN associated with the gift account.

Abstract: A method for providing a gift includes receiving gift information comprising data indicative of a gift type, a maximum gift amount, a gift recipient, and a first financial account from a first computing device associated with a gifter and via a software application. The first financial account being associated with the gifter and the gift recipient having preregistered user account with the software application. The method includes identifying one or more recipient financial accounts associated with the gift recipient including at least a second financial account. The method includes identifying a gift-eligible transaction that is associated with the second financial account by monitoring transaction data associated with the one or more recipient financial accounts. The method includes transmitting a gift notification to a second computing device and outputting an instruction to initiate a transfer of a gift amount from the first financial account to the second financial account.

Abstract: One-tap payment using a contactless card. An application may output an indication specifying to tap a contactless card to complete a transaction initiated in the application. The application may receive encrypted data generated by the contactless card based on a private key stored in the contactless card. The application may transmit a merchant identifier, a transaction identifier, and the encrypted data to an authentication server. The authentication server may verify the encrypted data based on the private key for the contactless card stored by the authentication server. A virtual account number server may generate a virtual account number. A merchant server may receive the merchant identifier, the transaction identifier, the virtual account number, an expiration date, and a card verification value (CVV), and process the transaction using the transaction identifier, the virtual account number, the expiration date, and the CVV.

Abstract: Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission system between transmitting and receiving devices are provided. In an embodiment, each of the transmitting and receiving devices can contain a master key. The transmitting device can generate a diversified key using the master key, protect a counter value and encrypt data prior to transmitting to the receiving device, which can generate the diversified key based on the master key and can decrypt the data and validate the protected counter value using the diversified key.

Abstract: A position alignment system facilitates positioning of a contactless card in a ‘sweet spot’ in a target volume relative to a contactless card reading device. Alignment logic uses information captured from available imaging devices such as infrared proximity detectors, cameras, infrared sensors, dot projectors, and the like to guide the card to a target location. The captured image information is processed to identify a card position, trajectory and predicted location using one or both of a machine learning model and/or a Simultaneous Localization and Mapping logic. Trajectory adjustment and prompt identification may be intelligently controlled and customized using machine-learning techniques to customize guidance based on the preference and/or historical behavior of the user. As a result, the speed and accuracy of contactless card alignment is improved and received NFC signal strength is maximized, thereby reducing the occurrence of dropped transactions.

In one example embodiment, a mobile device may include a first component and a second component foldable with respect to one another between a first configuration and a second configuration. The mobile device may further include a screen interface on an interior side of the first component, and an alignment feature along the interior side, the alignment feature providing alignment for a contactless card with respect to the screen interface, wherein the contactless card is uncovered by the second component in the first configuration and covered by the second component in the second configuration.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to copying data to a clipboard of a mobile device from a contactless card using NFC. A mobile device may issue a request to read data from the contactless card. The contactless card may generate encrypted data in response to the request. The mobile device may receive the encrypted data via NFC and transmit the encrypted data to a server for verification. The server may verify the encrypted data and transmit an indication of an account number for the contactless card to the mobile device. The mobile device may then copy the account number to a clipboard of the mobile device.

Abstract: A device receives a transaction request concerning a transaction and a transaction card from a transaction terminal, and determines, based on the transaction request, information concerning the transaction card. The device sends, based on the transaction request and to a user device, a query concerning possession of the transaction card by a user of the user device, where the query includes an instruction for the user to confirm possession of the transaction card via a component of the user device. The device receives, from the user device and after sending the query to the user device, a response concerning possession of the transaction card by the user, and determines, based on the response and the information concerning the transaction card, whether the user has possession of the transaction card.
