  • Patent number: 11859466
Abstract: An apparatus and method for creating axial movement of an inner sliding sleeve member on a tool in a downhole environment. The apparatus has keys which mate in a profile on the inner sliding sleeve member, the keys being held in a carrier on a sleeve around an inner mandrel. The inner mandrel includes stops and a lip which can be slid over the keys to retract them for release from the inner sliding sleeve member. By picking up and shifting down the mandrel relative to the sleeve, the apparatus is cycled to jar up, jar down and release. An exercise tool to release a stuck flow tube of a subsurface safety valve is described.

  • Publication number: 20230340539
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods for producing gene-edited cells free of gene-editing system molecules through the manipulation of prototrophy. Exemplary system molecules include those required for CRISPR editing techniques, such as plasmids and genes encoding Cas nucleases. The methods may employ constructs that temporarily disrupt prototrophy, the removal of which restores prototrophy. Also disclosed are gene-edited cells and populations of gene-edited cells comprising these constructs. The present methods and compositions may be used to achieve desired gene editing of a host cell in the absence of extraneous genetic material remaining from the genetic engineering technique itself.

  • Patent number: 11761302
Abstract: Method and apparatus for creating a fluid communication line in a downhole environment between an annular chamber and a throughbore of a tool. The tubular wall therebetween is provided with circumferentially arranged recesses extending into the wall to provide selected thin-walled sections for perforation by a communication tool. The communication tool has two oppositely arranged punch heads, one aligned with a recess and the other between neighbouring recesses giving an orientationless configuration in operation. An embodiment for creating a fluid communication line through a tubing retrievable safety valve for operation of a wireline retrievable safety valve located therein is described.

  • Patent number: 11614954
Abstract: An indication of an instantiation of a first graphical user interface item representing a first data pool component being specified to be included in a data pool is received. An indication of an instantiation of a second graphical user interface item representing a second data pool component being specified to be included in the data pool is received. The second graphical user interface item is graphically instantiated as connected with the first graphical user interface item to indicate that the first data pool component and the second data pool component belong to the same data pool able to be referenced as a combined single data entity. An indication of an instantiation of a third graphical user interface item representing a data management action to be applied to the data pool, wherein the third graphical user interface item is graphically instantiated as connected with a graphical representation of the data pool is received.
