  • Publication number: 20190115932
Abstract: A signal processing arrangement has a signal input for connecting a capacitive sensor. An amplifier circuit is coupled between the signal input and a feedback point. A loop filter is coupled downstream to the feedback point. A quantizer is connected downstream to the loop filter and provides a multi-bit output word. The multi-bit output word consists of one or more higher significance bits and one or more lower significance bits. A first feedback path is coupled between a quantizer and the feedback point for providing a first feedback signal to the feedback point being representative of the one or more lower significance bits. A second feedback path is coupled to the quantizer for providing a second feedback signal to the signal input being representative of the one or more higher significance bits.

  • Publication number: 20150066524
Abstract: Methods and systems to facilitate the collaborative development, discovery and implementation of evidence-based, clinical pathways are disclosed. Clinicians, medical professionals or researchers, may use the Platform 105 in multiple implementation, such as integrated with a third-party system like an EHR 104 to build and find clinical pathways through a graphical interface, creating relational data records between steps in pathways. Further, users of the Platform 105 may be able to associate relevant content such as published evidence, supplemental content items (e.g., videos, images, documents, ICD, CPT, SNOMED codes, and external web pages), and other associated pathways which reside in the system's database. Users of the Platform 105 may be able organize themselves into groups and networks to develop single pathways collaboratively. Users may be able to find specific pathways in the Platform 105 through semantic search, querying for relationships which exist inside of individual pathways.

  • Patent number: 8188731
Abstract: A controller includes a control circuit. The control circuit includes a forward path that includes an input and an output, a feedback path coupled to the output and to the input, and a sensor that is between the input and the output. The sensor generates a sensor signal based on an input signal applied to the input. The forward path generates an output signal based on the sensor signal. The output signal is sent along the feedback path to the input of the forward path. The controller also includes a detector that obtains an intermediate signal from the forward path between the input and the output. The detector generates a control signal using the intermediate signal. The forward path includes a control device that limits the output signal to a predetermined value. The detector controls the control device using the control signal.

  • Patent number: 7884557
Abstract: A light source is protected by selectively coupling a shunt path in parallel with the light source, such that current is diverted away from the light source and through the shunt path. A detection circuit detects the current flowing in the shunt path when the shunt path is connected in parallel with the light source. A comparator determines whether the current flowing in the shunt path exceeds a predetermined threshold and, if so, prevents or limits the flow of current when the shunt path is disconnected from being in parallel with the light source. In this way, a current detector is provided for monitoring the flow of current in a shunt path, the current detector being configured to disable or limit the flow of current through a light source when a predetermined threshold is reached.

  • Patent number: 7095228
Abstract: A system includes plural sensors to detect at least one of a magnetic field and an electrical field, where each of the plural sensors includes outputs that output sensor signals when a field is detected. Plural signal modulators receive sense signals that correspond to sensor signals from corresponding ones of the plural sensors. Each of the plural signal modulators has first and second control states. In the first control state, each signal modulator outputs sense signals, and, in the second control state, each signal modulator outputs inverted sense signals. A device receives and processes the sense signals or the inverted sense signals.
