The method involves blending a polymer binder, cathode active material particles, and a solvent to create an initial dispersion where the polymer binder remains undissolved. The dispersion is then subjected to wet-jet milling at a pressure and duration sufficient to physically and chemically attach the polymer binder to the surfaces of the cathode active material particles, resulting in a stable dispersion resistant to sedimentation.
