A first battery is in a first charging branch, and a second battery is in a second charging branch; the first charging branch includes M current control elements; and the electronic device further includes a control unit, and the control unit is configured to increase, when a current that charges the first battery in the first charging branch is greater than a first preset threshold, resistance values of some or all of the M current control elements, to cause an adjusted current that charges the first battery in the first charging branch to be less than or equal to the first preset threshold.
