Abstract: Jewelry devices and assemblies for adjusting the appearance of jewelry as worn. The assemblies include a clip having first and second shell pieces pivotally coupled together with a hinge disposed within an interior volume defined by the shell pieces. Gripping members defining gripping surfaces are affixed to interior surfaces of the shell pieces and cooperate to hold in place one or more portions of a necklace, bracelet, anklet, and the like. In some examples, a portion of an elongated member of a jewelry article, such as a necklace chain, is couplable to a terminal extending from one of the shell pieces.
