  • Publication number: 20220203117
Abstract: The present invention relates to a light therapy apparatus, system, and method for providing light delivered to a body organ, e.g., skin such as a scalp, via one or more light guides in therapeutic dosages from one or more light sources operating in a variety of wavelengths. The light source may comprise one or more LEDs coupled to an illumination assembly, wherein an array of illumination assemblies may be coupled to a dome configured for conformal placement near or on a body organ. The plurality of illumination assemblies may be actuated upon by one or more actuators that form an active system to cause conformal contact with the body organ utilizing one or more actuator types. A control system may be operably connected to the plurality of illumination assemblies to control one or more parameters, such as localized light position and intensity, and activation of the actuators.

  • Patent number: 10967970
Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) includes a fuselage that supports breakaway components that are attached using magnets. One component is a battery pack which powers the vehicle. Another component is a rotor set including two identical pod pairs that each support a motor and a propeller. Each motor is attached to a hub assembly that includes a plurality of spokes captured in a motor hub and sandwiched by a rigid motor printed circuit board on top and a rigid hub plate. The hub assembly construction is rigid in plane and functions to keep the motor firmly stable during operation. The hub assembly is compliant and resilient when impacted parallel to the plane. Other features of the pod pairs encage the otherwise dangerous spinning propeller. This allows the vehicle to operate with a higher level of safety than conventional UAVs.

  • Publication number: 20160156603
Abstract: A wearable device (4) for secure execution of Near Field Communications identity-based data transactions with an enclosure (8) that contains a secure NFC integrated circuit (40), a secure Bluetooth Low Energy integrated circuit (48), a microcontroller (48) with a firmware program (104), a battery (44), and a passive sensor (16) that activates the microcontroller (48) when the device is removed or donned by the user. If the NFC integrated circuit (40) is in the enabled state when the microcontroller (48) is activated by the sensor (16), the firmware program (104) disables the NFC integrated circuit (40) function. If the NFC integrated circuit (40) is the disabled state when the microcontroller (48) is activated by the sensor (16), the Bluetooth Low Energy integrated circuit (48) is activated and a Personal Identification Number must entered into a software application (112) running on a Bluetooth-connected computing device (22) to enable the NFC integrated circuit (40) function.

  • Publication number: 20090298490
Abstract: A system is provided for delivering Internet and digital content to a variety of thin client devices. A web portal for accessing and selecting content is used in conjunction with graphical user interfaces on a personal computer for setting up and controlling the content channels. The user interfaces, scheduling, and communication management are controlled by a system control software application running on a local server with an Internet connection. A high speed local area network provides for streaming content from the Internet or local server to thin client devices. A digital audio playback device is connected to the local server via the local area network connection and decodes streamed audio files, and converts them into analog audio signals for input into a conventional stereo. Digital content is streamed automatically from the local server to another Internet playback device, based on end user content preferences and schedule selections.
