  • Publication number: 20070273178
Abstract: An operator's cab for a work machine includes a ceiling structure and a floor structure. An operator's station is disposed between the ceiling structure and the floor structure, and is configured to position an operator in a driving position. First and second vertical support bars extend from the ceiling structure to the floor structure. The first and second vertical support bars are disposed forwardly of the operator's station land are spaced a substantially equal distance from a longitudinal axis of the work machine. Third and fourth vertical support bars also extend from the ceiling structure to the floor structure. The third and fourth vertical support bars are spaced a substantially equal distance from the longitudinal axis. • Publication number: 20070273754
Abstract: A method and system for correlating content with linear media. More particularly, but not exclusively, the method and system correlate synchronous content with linear media by linking the content to a portion of the linear media, and including creating content related to the linear media; identifying a portion of the linear media corrected to the content; and linking the content to the portion; wherein the content is not synchronized with the linear media and the content is created non-contemporaneously with creation of the linear media.

  • Publication number: 20070273419
Abstract: Trigger reception on different instrumentation devices may be synchronized by each instrumentation device generating one or more trigger enable signals and delaying performance of an operation in response to a trigger signal until a transition in a trigger enable signal. An instrumentation system may include several instrumentation devices and a communication medium coupling the instrumentation devices. One of the instrumentation devices may process data in response to a sample clock signal. That instrumentation device may also generate a trigger enable signal and delay performing an operation in response to a trigger signal transmitted via the communication medium until a transition in the trigger enable signal occurs. The trigger enable signal is not the sample clock signal. The trigger enable signal may be synchronized to another trigger enable signal generated by another one of the instrumentation devices.

  • Publication number: 20070272261
Abstract: A crimped filament tow, suitable for use in making cigarette filter rods, is made by a process in which porous particles, such as activated carbon particles, are adhered to the filaments by an adhesive. Deactivation of the adsorbent surfaces of the particles by the adhesive is limited by loading the particles with a material, such as water, which can generate a gaseous emission, such as steam, from the particles so as to open up access to the adsorbent interior surfaces of the particles. The filaments, which may be cellulose acetate, may have a cross-section having concave portions, such as are provided by multi-lobal cross-sections, in which the adhered particles may lie to protect them against shedding by abrasion of the filaments against machine surfaces. The particles and the adhesive may be applied to the banded tow at the same time, in the form of a dispersion of the particles in the adhesive, and may be applied directly before the crimping step.

Abstract: A locking mechanism for an embosser stamp in which the embosser stamp has an operating lever for controlling movement of the seal or embossing plates. Holes are disposed in the sides of the embosser stamp and through the operating lever. When the holes in the operating lever are aligned with the holes in the sides of the embosser stamp, a locking rod is placed through the aligned holes. Movement of the operating lever is restricted when the locking rod is inserted through the aligned holes. One end of the locking rod has a stop mechanism and the other end has a hole for receiving a lock.

  • Patent number: 7301568
Abstract: A camera has a body and an electronic capture unit mounted in the body. The electronic capture unit selectively captures and stores a scene image as a representational electronic image having a first array of pixels. A control system is mounted in the body. The control system provides a remapped electronic image having a second array of pixels. A memory unit is disposed in the body. The memory unit stores a data-set defining an non-uniform mapping between a plurality of primary input coordinates mappable on said first array of pixels and plurality of primary output coordinates mappable on said second array of pixels. The control system uses the data-set to remap the pixels of the input electronic image to provide the remapped electronic image.

  • Patent number: 7300423
Abstract: A safety device, usable in particular with hypodermic needles, and incorporating a trigger mechanism which when activated primes the device to initiate the unsheathing of the needle in use by flexing one or more needle-surrounding legs away from the needle axis; the initial priming and leg-flexing movement being caused by the interaction of an operative portion of the trigger with the or each said leg or with a member connected operatively thereto; characterised by the feature that, when such movement occurs, the trigger end interacts with the leg or the said, part connected thereto in a manner which positively latches and retains the two in engagement.

  • Patent number: 7301541
Abstract: A programmable processor and method for improving the performance of processors by expanding at least two source operands, or a source and a result operand, to a width greater than the width of either the general purpose register or the data path width. The present invention provides operands which are substantially larger than the data path width of the processor by using the contents of a general purpose register to specify a memory address at which a plurality of data path widths of data can be read or written, as well as the size and shape of the operand. In addition, several instructions and apparatus for implementing these instructions are described which obtain performance advantages if the operands are not limited to the width and accessible number of general purpose registers.

  • Patent number: 7302364
Abstract: Advanced spaceport information management methods and systems are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method includes coupling a test system to the payload and transmitting one or more test signals that emulate an anticipated condition from the test system to the payload. One or more responsive signals are received from the payload into the test system and are analyzed to determine whether one or more of the responsive signals comprises an anomalous signal. At least one of the steps of transmitting, receiving, analyzing and determining includes transmitting at least one of the test signals and the responsive signals via a communications link from a payload processing facility to a remotely located facility. In one particular embodiment, the communications link is an Internet link from a payload processing facility to a remotely located facility (e.g. a launch facility, university, etc.).

  • Patent number: 7301897
Abstract: A method for managing data congestion and/or contention occurring at a point-of-traffic concentration. The method includes reading a time value associated with a data packet, the time value being representative of when the data packet entered the network. The time value is within the header of the data packet. The age of the data packet is determined from the time value. The data packet is discarded if the age of the data packet is above a threshold value. Alternatively, a first time value determined from a time reference is associated with a data packet at a first node. The data packet is transmitted to a second node and the first time value is compared to a second time value to provide a result. The second time value is also determined from the time reference. The data packet is discarded if the result exceeds a threshold value.
