  • Patent number: 11178374
Abstract: This disclosure relates to methods, non-transitory computer readable media, and systems that generate and dynamically change filter parameters for a frame of a 360-degree video based on detecting a field of view from a computing device. As a computing device rotates or otherwise changes orientation, for instance, the disclosed systems can detect a field of view and interpolate one or more filter parameters corresponding to nearby spatial keyframes of the 360-degree video to generate view-specific-filter parameters. By generating and storing filter parameters for spatial keyframes corresponding to different times and different view directions, the disclosed systems can dynamically adjust color grading or other visual effects using interpolated, view-specific-filter parameters to render a filtered version of the 360-degree video.

  • Patent number: 11148088
Abstract: A filter element for a filter for filtration of a fluid is insertable along an insertion direction into the filter. The filter element is provided with a filter medium to be flowed through along a main flow direction. The filter element has a clean side and a raw side. A sealing surface surrounds the filter medium, wherein the sealing surface, interacting with a filter housing of the filter when the filter element is in an installed state in the filter housing, separates the clean side from the raw side. A support edge exerts a force on the sealing surface by interacting with the filter housing of the filter when the filter element is in the installed state in the filter housing. The sealing surface and the support edge are positioned at an acute angle relative to each other.

  • Publication number: 20210272353
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide systems, methods, and computer storage media which retarget 2D screencast video tutorials into an active VR host application. VR-embedded widgets can render on top of a VR host application environment while the VR host application is active. Thus, VR-embedded widgets can provide various interactive tutorial interfaces directly inside the environment of the VR host application. For example, VR-embedded widgets can present external video content, related information, and corresponding interfaces directly in a VR painting environment, so a user can simultaneously access external video (e.g., screencast video tutorials) and a VR painting. Possible VR-embedded widgets include a VR-embedded video player overlay widget, a perspective thumbnail overlay widget (e.g., a user-view thumbnail overlay, an instructor-view thumbnail overlay, etc.), an awareness overlay widget, a tutorial steps overlay widget, and/or a controller overlay widget, among others.

  • Publication number: 20210149543
Abstract: Techniques for interacting with virtual environments. For example, a virtual reality application outputs a three-dimensional virtual reality scene. The application receives a creation of a slicing volume that is positioned within the three-dimensional virtual space. The slicing volume includes virtual elements of an object within the scene. The application projects the slicing volume onto a two-dimensional view. The application displays the two-dimensional view within the three-dimensional virtual reality scene. The application associates a surface of a physical object with the two-dimensional view. The application receives an interaction with the surface of the physical object, and based on the interaction, selects one or more virtual elements.

  • Patent number: 10957063
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media for generating modified video content to reduce depth conflicts between user interface elements and video objects. For example, the disclosed systems can analyze an input video to identify feature points that designate objects within the input video and to determine the depths of the identified feature points. In addition, the disclosed systems can compare the depths of the feature points with a depth of a user interface element to determine whether there are any depth conflicts. In response to detecting a depth conflict, the disclosed systems can modify the depth of the user interface element to reduce or avoid the depth conflict. Furthermore, the disclosed systems can apply a blurring effect to an area around a user interface element to reduce the effect of depth conflicts.

  • Patent number: 10934018
Abstract: System for reducing likelihood of an aircraft-induced lightning strike on an aircraft. The system includes a plurality of electric field sensors distributed on surfaces of the aircraft to monitor continuously the electrical environment to which the aircraft is subjected. A plurality of ion emission sources are distributed on selected aircraft surfaces, the ion emission sources adapted to emit either positive or negative ions. A computer runs an algorithm to control net charge level of the aircraft by commanding the emission of positive or negative ions from selected surfaces to retard inception of corresponding leader discharges.

  • Publication number: 20210016210
Abstract: A filter arrangement with filter element for purifying a dielectric of a machine for electrical discharge machining has a dielectric inlet with a connector for connecting a dielectric feed connection element of the machine for electrical discharge machining. The filter arrangement has an adapter form fit element that connects detachably to an adapter form fit element of the machine for electrical discharge machining. In a closed position of the adapter form fit elements, the dielectric inlet of the filter arrangement is fluid-tightly connected to the dielectric feed connection element. The adapter form fit elements permit the closed position only in a defined angle position, thereby determining a position of an identification element of the filter arrangement relative to the adapter form fit element of the machine for electrical discharge machining and of a corresponding reading device at the machine for electrical discharge machining relative to the an identification element.

  • Patent number: 10839245
Abstract: A structured document analyzer that associates keys and values in structured documents based on key, value, and key-value container bounding boxes. A trained machine learning model analyzes images of structured documents to determine bounding boxes for keys, values, and key-value containers in the images with confidence scores for the classifications. For each image, duplicate bounding boxes are removed, and then a set of key-value containers are selected and sorted based on the confidence scores. For each key-value container, a best key and value are determined for the container based on overlap of the key and value bounding boxes with the container bounding box and the confidence scores. Optical character recognition may be performed on the image to determine text for the keys and values.

  • Patent number: 10821416
Abstract: A box style steam methane reformer (15) has plural sections (37), with each section having walls (27-29-31, 33) forming an interior cavity (35) and open ends (43) that communicate with the interior cavity. Each section has a feedstock supply pipe (71) and a fuel supply pipe (63) located along the top wall, as well as a syngas collection pipe (79) and a flue gas collection duct (75) located outside of the bottom wall. The pipes and ducts have ends that are aligned with each other to allow the sections to be assembled together. Burners (67) are in the interior cavity and are connected to the fuel supply pipe. Reactor tubes (59) extend through the interior cavity. Refractory members (81) are located in the interior cavity and across a slot. The spacing between the refractory members varies to control the flow of flue gas.
