  • Publication number: 20250235275
Abstract: Devices to control a movement or instrument function of a robotic arm of a surgical robotic system include a first foot pedal with a button, a second foot pedal with a button, and a connector. The connector includes a first and second end and a top and bottom side. The top side of the first end is attached to a bottom side of the button of the first foot pedal, and the second end is configured to be positioned under a bottom side of the button of a second foot pedal to interlock the first foot pedal with the second foot pedal. When a force moves the button of the second foot pedal to a position, the button of the second foot pedal moves the connector which subsequently moves the button of the first foot pedal to an activation position to send an input signal to a surgical console.

  • Publication number: 20250232839
Abstract: Methods, system, and kits are provided for sample identification, and, more specifically, for designing, and/or making, and/or using sample discriminating codes or barcodes for identifying sample nucleic acids or other biomolecules or polymers. For example, a plurality of flowspace codewords may be generated, the codewords comprising a string of characters. A location for at least one padding character within the flowspace codewords may be determined. The padding character may be inserted into the flowspace codewords at the determined location. After the inserting, a plurality of the flowspace codewords may be selected based on satisfying a predetermined minimum distance criteria, wherein the selected codewords correspond to valid base space sequences according to a predetermined flow order. And the barcode sequences corresponding to the selected codewords may be manufactured.

  • Patent number: 12336749
Abstract: A forceps includes an end effector assembly having a stop and a plurality of overmold teeth within at least one jaw member. One (or both) of the jaw members is moveable relative to the other between a spaced-apart position and an approximated position for grasping tissue therebetween. One (or both) of the jaw members includes a stop molded within an insulative housing, and an insulator plate with the overmold teeth formed from plastic. The overmold teeth extend through openings within a sealing plate and protrude past the tissue sealing surface of the sealing plate. The stop primarily controls the gap distance between opposing jaw members by bearing most of an applied load and the overmold teeth assist in controlling the gap distance by bearing the remaining applied load.

  • Patent number: 12341463
Abstract: A blood pump system includes a blood pump and a corresponding controller. The blood pump includes an impeller that is sealed within the pump housing and hydrodynamically suspended within the pump housing. The pump impeller includes magnets, and is the rotor of a brushless direct current (DC) motor that is driven by electrical signals through stator wire coils in the pump housing, which creates a rotating magnetic field. The rotating magnetic field attracts the magnetized impeller and spins it with the rotating field. The controller provides field-oriented control for the brushless DC motor in the blood pump. The field-oriented control in the controller is provided in a programmable logic device separate from a control processor so that a software or hardware failure related to the control processor does not stop the blood pump. The field-oriented control allows sensing blood flow through the pump without having sensors in the blood stream.

  • Patent number: 12246668
Abstract: A method for controlling an inflatable airbag system in a motor vehicle having a seatbelt includes detecting a position of a vehicle occupant relative to an airbag suppression zone (ASZ). Electronic input signals are received from a sensor suite, including an occupant position signal and a seatbelt usage status signal. A restraint capacity setting of the airbag is adjusted in response to the electronic input signals such that corresponding restraint activation logic is executed by the controller based on whether the occupant is belted or unbelted.
