  • Publication number: 20210076045
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe dividing a video into chunks with varying lengths based on the content within those frames. In contrast, dividing the video at a fix interval is prone to generating chunks starting at the middle of hard to encode areas, which can lead to a loss of encoder rate-control efficiency and produce visual quality gaps at the beginning of such chunks. The embodiments herein can identify a set of boundaries for dividing the video into chunks having similar lengths and with little to no impact on visual quality. In one embodiment, the boundaries of the chunks are placed at locations (or frames) that are far from the complex (or hard to encode) areas of the video. To do so, the system evaluates the video using various complexity metrics to identify the complex areas that require more bits to encode relative to less complex areas.

  • Patent number: 10759476
Abstract: A method for executing straight tracking control may include receiving an input command(s) associated with controlling the operation of a first-side drive system and/or a second-side drive system of a hydrostatic transmission of a work vehicle to drive the vehicle along a straight path. The method may also include receiving first and second speed signals associated with the output speeds of the drive systems, and modifying the first speed signal or the second speed signal based on a speed scaling factor to generate a corrected speed signal. In addition, the method may include determining an adjusted control command for controlling the operation of the hydrostatic transmission as a function of the input command(s) and a control output determined based on the corrected speed signal. Further, the method may include controlling the operation of the hydrostatic transmission based at least in part on the adjusted control command.

  • Patent number: 10672178
Abstract: Circuitry for identifying a closest intersected bounding volume in a target grid in a 3-dimensional scene includes circuitry that generates grid coordinates of candidate x-, y-, and z-planes in the target grid that belong to bounding volumes and which are closest to the ray. Comparator circuitry determines the closest plane among the candidate x-, y-, and z-planes to the ray. Circuitry generates an identifier of the bounding volume using the grid coordinates of the closest plane. The allocation of resources for some components comprising the circuitry is based on the number of planes that define the target grid, and for other components of the circuitry is based on the number of bounding volumes being considered.

  • Publication number: 20200150153
Abstract: A test and measurement instrument includes a current measurement device having an input to accept an electrical current for measurement, an output to pass an output current output from the current measurement device, a sense path through which the electrical current is measured, and an active bypass device to pass an amount of current from the input of the current measurement device to the output of the current measurement device without passing through the sense path. The active bypass device may be tuned to allow the current sense device to operate without bypass within a specific range of target current values. Some current measurement devices may include more than one active bypass circuits, each tuned for a different range of input current values.

Abstract: In one aspect, a system for providing brake-assisted steering to a work vehicle may include at least one sensor configured to detect at least one parameter associated with a wheel speed differential defined between first and second wheels of the work vehicle. The system may also include a controller configured to determine a target wheel speed differential between the first and second wheels when it is determined that a change in the direction of travel of the work vehicle has been initiated. Furthermore, the controller may be configured to control the operation of a first or second braking device of the work vehicle such that a braking force is applied to an inside wheel of the work vehicle in a manner that adjusts the wheel speed differential towards the target wheel speed differential.
