Abstract: An IC assembly having a routing structure mounted on a PCB of an electronic apparatus includes a central IC mounted on a central portion of the PCB; and a plurality of peripheral ICs disposed adjacent to the central IC on the PCB, wherein each of the peripheral ICs is electrically connected to the central IC through at least one routing path formed there between. The IC assembly can reduce the size and thickness of the PCB.

Abstract: A mobile communication terminal equipped with a Zigbee communication module for transmitting/receiving contents data in a Zigbee Personal Area Network (PAN) and a method for transmitting/receiving data by a mobile communication terminal in a communication system of the Zigbee PAN are provided. The communication system of the Zigbee PAN includes a first terminal equipped with a Zigbee communication module capable of Zigbee communication, for generating contents data for extracting a tag from the generated contents data, generating profile information using the tag, and for broadcasting the profile information and the contents data in the Zigbee PAN, and a second terminal for comparing a tag of the contents data detected from the received profile information with a previously stored tag upon receiving the profile information broadcasted from the first terminal, and then for receiving the contents data if the detected tag of the contents data and the previously stored tag coincide with each other.

Abstract: Disclosed is a built-in antenna apparatus comprising a plurality of antenna blocks, and an electrical connection device for connecting adjacent antenna blocks, the electrical connection device selectively connecting the antenna blocks so as to form varieties of the antenna. This enables the antenna blocks to be easily and detachably arranged according to the external shape, available mounting space and antenna characteristics of the mobile communications terminal.

Abstract: Disclosed is an audio/video data synchronization apparatus for directly transmitting decoded audio/video data to an external device, without compressing the data, using UWB communication. The apparatus synchronizes video and audio data stored in a terminal without compressing the data and simultaneously transmits the data to an external device using UWB communication, so that users can enjoy high-quality images and sounds. In addition, the receiving end does not necessarily incorporate a separate function for decoding moving images, because it receives uncompressed video/audio data. This makes the apparatus simple and convenient.

Abstract: A power amplifier for a transmitter includes a plurality of CMOS amplifiers of different types which are serially and alternately connected, and matching circuits for matching impedance discrepancies between the CMOS amplifiers of different types.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for data transmission/reception for transmitting/receiving data, which can transmit and receive data by using a transmitter (display device) capable of receiving and displaying digital data, and a receiver capable of receiving digital data by photographing the digital data. The apparatus includes a transmitter for receiving and displaying digital data; and a receiver for photographing and receiving the digital data displayed in the transmitter, and restoring the received digital data, thereby restoring corresponding data information. Abstract: Disclosed are a user input device and a method for rapidly selecting an operation mode in a mobile terminal having a touch screen input panel and a fingerprint recognition sensor. The user input method includes setting operation modes for at least one fingerprint data and input pattern, each comprised of keys necessary to implement a corresponding operation mode; detecting fingerprint data inputted from the fingerprint recognition sensor, and confirming an operation mode set for the inputted fingerprint data; and displaying an input pattern corresponding to the confirmed operation mode on the touch screen input panel.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for correcting a Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) of an antenna of a mobile terminal, which can detect if a Micro-Electro Mechanical System (MEMS) reconfigurable antenna for wireless communication contacts a foreign substance, to correct an SNR of the antenna. The mobile terminal having the MEMS reconfigurable antenna changes the MEMS reconfigurable antenna and calculates an SNR during execution of the wireless communication, thereby setting the MEMS reconfigurable antenna to an antenna form corresponding to a greatest SNR.

Abstract: An image offset adjustment apparatus for an LCD projector which is constructed to enable the adjustment of an image offset. The LCD projector includes a light source for emitting light, mirrors, and an LCD installed in front of the mirrors so that an image generated in the LCD is enlarged and projected on a screen. The image offset adjustment apparatus includes a projection lens section including a plurality of projection lenses having their respective LCDs at different circumferential positions to have different image offsets; a lens housing for housing the respective projection lenses adjacent to one another in a circumferential direction; rotation means for rotating the lens housing; and a controller for controlling the rotation means so that the lens housing can be controllably rotated to select one of the projection lenses and one of the image offsets as desired by a user.

Abstract: Provided is an apparatus and a method for selecting a menu in a portable terminal. The portable terminal includes a first input means that can be rotated stepwise by a predetermined angle, a second input means that can be continuously rotated and pressed, and a controller for providing a menu list corresponding to the rotation direction of the first input means and the number of steps of rotation of the first input means, changing the position of a cursor on the menu list according to the rotation direction and the rotation degree of the second input means, and performing an operation corresponding to a menu in which the cursor is located when the second input means is pressed.

Abstract: Disclosed is a remote input method using a fingerprint recognition sensor. A main device activates a fingerprint input mode according to a user's request, and displays a key input unit, menu images and an indicator corresponding to the fingerprint input mode. A remote input device having the fingerprint recognition sensor generates fingerprint data corresponding to the finger touching method in real time, and sends the generated fingerprint data to the main device through a short range wireless communication module. When receiving the fingerprint data, the main device analyzes the type of fingerprint included in the fingerprint data based on the previously stored fingerprint information. The main device also analyzes the user input pattern according to the type of fingerprint and the fingerprint data reception type. Consequently, the main device implements a preset function corresponding to the analyzed user input pattern.

Abstract: Provided is a speaker device for a portable terminal. The speaker device includes a speaker housing which provides a mounting space for accommodating a speaker unit and a resonating space connected to the mounting space and located around the mounting space. The speaker device solves the disadvantages of a small-size speaker unit, i.e., problems in producing a sound in a bass region, thereby producing a “live” sound. Moreover, the characteristics of a sound can be improved using the speaker housing, without addition of a separate speaker unit or addition or change of software or a circuit, thereby improving the performance of a speaker device of the portable terminal at low cost.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for adding a code for a service including, but not limited to, an info-mobile service, an international call service and a zone rate service prior to a calling number, in a mobile communication terminal are provided. A code adding mode is provided when the calling number is input. If the code adding mode is selected, adding a code prior to the calling number is performed.

Abstract: A DC offset cancellation apparatus in a time division duplexing mode direct conversion receiver is disclosed that cancels DC offset of a present frame by using DC offset information of a previous frame by using a receive time difference between data transmission frames. Therefore, the DC offset cancellation unit has advantages of canceling the DC offset in an active mode in real time, of canceling the DC offset varying depending on time and circumferential conditions, and of minimizing power consumption by using an optimized element alignment.
