  • Publication number: 20070084577
Abstract: A shoe press apparatus of a paper machine for pressing wet paper through a nip includes a counter roll, and a shoe module disposed adjacent to the counter roll. The shoe module includes a cylindrical blanket, and a press mechanism disposed inside the cylindrical blanket, extending in a width direction of the cylindrical blanket and individually pressing a plurality of pressed portions formed on the cylindrical blanket along a traveling direction of the wet paper, toward an outer-surface of the counter roll so that the wet paper is pressed in the nip between the cylindrical blanket and the counter roll so that a pressure can be applied efficiently in response to a density required for paper solely by the shoe press apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20070023155
Abstract: The present invention relates to a smoothing press for a paper machine and a press for a paper machine with a smoothing press as well as a paper production method. At a final stage of a press section (2) of a paper machine, wet web (1) with one face thereof retained by elastic members (13, 14) is pressed by the nip section of a pair of press rolls (12a, 12b) having a surface formed from a rigid material.

  • Patent number: 7135095
Abstract: A press felt for use in a papermaking machine comprises a base body, a batt material and a hydrophilic nonwoven fabric, all intertwiningly integrated by needle punching. The batt material comprises a staple fiber, and is composed of a wet paper web side layer and a press side layer. The hydrophilic nonwoven fabric is provided in the wet paper web side layer. The hydrophilic character of the nonwoven fabric improves the movement of water to the nonwoven fabric, and the holding the water in the nonwoven fabric. As a result rewetting is prevented more effectively than in the case of prior press felts.

  • Patent number: 7038436
Abstract: An inventive switching type dc-dc converter is adapted to set a protective reference current level lower for a decreased output voltage, and stop the switching control signal supplied to a switching transistor circuit when the detected current level exceeds the protective reference current level. In addition, in case where the output voltage declines due to, for example, a circuit failure such as short-circuiting, the switching period of the switching transistor circuit is extended. Thus, the switching type dc-dc converter is provided with a fold-back current limiting type protection characteristic through reduction of the protective reference current level and extension of the switching period of cycle.

  • Publication number: 20050157838
Abstract: A reactor fuel bundle includes a channel having an inner perimeter wall and a channel longitudinal centerline. Both full-length and part-length fuel rods are positioned within the channel. The part-length rods are separated into two groups. A first group has intermediate-length rods located immediately adjacent to the inner perimeter wall. A second group has short-length rods located approximate the channel longitudinal centerline.

  • Publication number: 20050157837
Abstract: A reactor fuel bundle includes both full-length fuel rods and part-length fuel rods. The part-length rods are clumped in two groups—a first rod group surrounds one or more water passages which are generally centrally disposed in a channel of the fuel bundle, and a second rod group is distributed about an inner perimeter wall of the channel.

  • Patent number: 6135538
Abstract: A door wire harness arrangement structure is provided. In this structure, a wire harness protector is made up of a soft elastic member and thin flexible plates, slidable inside a door, and flexible and restorable in the thickness direction. The soft elastic member may have an oval-shaped cross section. The wire harness protector may be made up of a pair of thin flexible plates and soft elastic members which join the thin plates together at both ends in the width direction. The wire harness protector may have a flat shape, and be provided with a flat wire harness inside. It is also possible to flexibly attach only the flat harness between the door and the main body without the wire harness protector. Slide protrusions and/or fabric for reducing frictional resistance are provided on both sides of the flat harness protector. The flat wire harness is made up of wires secured to a thin resin plate with an adhesive layer or a laminate layer.
