  • Patent number: 10522936
Abstract: An electrical outlet safety cover consisting of a cover plate and removable caps to cover and prevent access by children to underlying electrical outlet. The cover plate replaces a standard electrical cover plate on an electrical outlet and fastens to the electrical outlet with an attachment screw in the center of the safety cover. The rear side of the cover plate is provided with slot housings on the top sides and bottom on each electrical socket access opening into which legs, provided on the child-proof safety caps, insert as a means of fastening or removing the caps over the electrical outlet. A slot housing surrounds each slot to prevent the legs on the safety cap from inserting too far inward when inserting or removing the caps from the cover plate. The caps are sufficiently large to cover the attachment screw and to prevent choking by a child.

  • Patent number: 10381731
Abstract: An aerial device can be configured to fly above a route during movement of a vehicle along the route, such as for purposes of capturing image data of the route. The aerial device may include a microstrip antenna. The antenna includes a radiating patch layer, an aperture layer, a first insulator layer, a feed line, and a second insulator layer, all of which are parallel to and stacked on top of one another. The aperture layer is conductive and defines an aperture. The first insulator layer is sandwiched between the radiating patch layer and the aperture layer; thereby, the radiating patch layer and the aperture layer are spaced apart from one another by at least a thickness of the first insulator layer. The first insulator layer has a low dielectric constant. The second insulator layer is sandwiched between the aperture layer and the feed line.

  • Publication number: 20190106135
Abstract: A locomotive control system includes a mobile platform that moves under remote and/or autonomous control, a sensor package supported by the mobile platform that obtains information relating to a component of a railroad, and one or more processors that receive the sensor information and analyze the information in combination with other information that is not obtained from the sensor package. The processors also generate an output that displays information relating to one or more of a status, a condition, and/or a state of health of the component of the railroad; initiates an action to change an operational state of the component; identifies a hazard to one or more locomotives traveling within the railroad; and/or collects the information relating to the component. Optionally, the component is not communicatively coupled to an information network and the mobile platform provides the information obtained by the sensor package to the information network.

  • Publication number: 20180331456
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed for a cover plate for an electrical outlet that mounts flush to an existing wall and secured with a screw in the center of the cover plate. The cover plate has two socket openings for a standard electrical outlet and four smaller openings around the socket openings. These smaller openings will be called arm housings. They have two ends of different dimensions, with a ramp inside to accommodate a locking safety arm of the safety caps. The safety arms of the safety cap fit inside the larger end of arm housing, and travel along the ramp, increasing tension on the safety arms as it is turned to the right, until it locks in the smaller end slot of the arm housing. The locking safety cap has four safety arms on each cap which are designed to line up with the four slots of the safety outlet cover arm housings. These safety arms fit inside the arm housing and are turned clockwise.
