  • Patent number: 4254791
Abstract: There is provided an in-line regulator for pressurized fluids. The regulator comprises a regulator sleeve disposed in a tubular, fluid-carrying line or in constituent parts of the line and is provided with at least one wall orifice through which the line or the constituent part of the line communicates with the outside. The sleeve is constituted by two flange-like end portions fitting the tubular line and a central portion connecting the flange-like portions and having smaller outside dimensions than the flange-like portions, in such a way as to define, in conjunction with the flange-like portions and with the inside wall of the tubular line, an annular output space. The central portion is elastically deformable by an inflatory force and the annular output space communicates with the inside of the tubular line via at least one constant-cross-section opening in at least one of the portions, and with the outside via the wall orifice.

  • Patent number: 4241757
Abstract: There is provided a fluid flow control unit adapted to be connected to a source of fluid under pressure. The unit comprises a housing having an input port and an output port and a body suspended in said housing by means of a diaphragm dividing said housing into an input chamber and an output chamber wherein said body is movable in relation to said ports under the influence of the fluid pressure differential between said input chamber and said output chamber for variably restricting said output port under the displacement of said body toward said output port. There is further provided resilient means for biasing said body toward said input port and at least one passageway formed in said body and passing therethrough for fluid communication between said input and output chambers via said body, the dimensions of which passageway remain unchanged during operation.

  • Patent number: 4166411
Abstract: A linear fluid-operated actuator includes a casing having a piston assembly slidingly movable in a main cylinder within the casing and provided with force transmitting means adapted to transmit the motion of the piston to the outside. A linear flow control assembly is provided including two valves which are each slidable within a valve cylinder positioned on either side of the main cylinder in coaxial relation and merging therewith. The valves are connected to each other for simultaneous movement and the size of the valve member, the extent of its movement and the position of an inlet and outlet port provided in each valve cylinder is such that the inlet in one cylinder is closed while its outlet is open, and the inlet of the other cylinder is open while its outlet is closed and communication between them is prevented. A retainer is provided for the valve assembly in either of its end positions and a spring is positioned between the piston and each valve.

  • Patent number: 4118152
Abstract: A variable dosing piston pump having a cylinder made of two parts, the fixed part through which the piston rod extends and a part adapted to be inserted more or less within said fixed part and means to fix said parts relative to each other, an outlet in said fixed part for the dosed liquid, an inlet controlled by a non-return valve in said movable part, the piston having a diameter adapted to that of the movable part and comprising a non-return valve. By changing the positions of the two cylinder parts relative each other, and retaining the same piston movement, the effective stroke of the piston is changed, thereby changing the dosing.

  • Patent number: 4007739
Abstract: A fluid-operated hypodermic syringe for injection of medicinal fluids into livestock, which is adapted to successively and automatically pump out of a container a predetermined quantity of medicinal fluid and to inject it into one animal each. Means are provided to regulate the depth of the needle penetration.

  • Patent number: 3971341
Abstract: An automatic proportioner for supplying medication to automatic watering troughs in poultry yards, comprises a differential piston unit movable in a stepped casing with the small piston acting as pump and the larger piston as actuator. A tubular valve movable coaxially with the piston unit serves to admit line water under pressure into the intermediate cylinder space for the upward stroke, whereby a concentrated medicated solution is sucked from a vessel into the suction side of the pump. During the downward stroke the valve interrupts the water supply from the line and the large piston is driven in downward direction by water from a raised storage tank, whereby the solution is driven into the intermediate space, mixed with the line water remaining therein in the proportion of the respective cylinder volumes and expelled to the troughs, at a pressure defined by the water level in the raised storage tank.
