Publication number: 20190054316Abstract: In certain embodiments novel sparse orthogonal collimators (SOCs) for use in radiotherapy are provided. In certain embodiments the SOCs comprise 2 layer 4 bank orthogonal collimators with 2-8 leaves in each of the 4 banks. Instead of using the limited heuristic approach to create jaw-only IMRT, a novel fluence map optimization method is provided based on wavelet decomposition and this method is used for IMRT. An algorithm to simplify the fluence maps with minimal and predictable dose quality compromise is also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 21, 2016Publication date: February 21, 2019Inventors: Ke SHENG, Dan NGUYEN, Dan RUAN

Patent number: 9163811Abstract: An illumination module is provided that can be inserted into a receptacle that includes a wall and may be mounted on a support surface, such as a heat sink, and the illumination module include a cover and an LED assembly rotateably coupled to the cover. The LED assembly seats within the receptacle which causes terminals of the LED assembly to align with contacts on the receptacle. One of the cover and the receptacle can have a plurality of ramps and the other a plurality of shoulders. The cover can be rotated relative to the receptacle to cause the shoulders to slide relative to the ramps so as to direct the LED assembly into the receptacle. When the LED assembly is attached to the receptacle, the terminals on the LED assembly mate with the contacts on the receptacle.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2010Date of Patent: October 20, 2015Assignee: Molex, LLCInventors: Victor Zaderej, Daniel B. McGowan, Dan Nguyen, Barbara Grzegorzewska, Michael Picini

Patent number: 9097405Abstract: A light module system includes a receptacle, which may be mounted on a support surface, such as a heat sink, and further includes a cover and an LED assembly rotatably coupled to the cover. The LED assembly seats within the receptacle which causes terminals of the LED assembly to align with contacts on the receptacle. One of the cover and the receptacle has a plurality of ramps and the other has a plurality of shoulders. The cover can be rotated relative to the receptacle to cause the shoulders to slide relative to the ramps so as to direct the LED assembly into the receptacle. The LED assembly seats within the receptacle which causes terminals of the LED assembly to align with contacts on the receptacle. Circuitry is provided in the module that accepts an input voltage and converts the input to a desired driving output. The cover can be rotated relative to the receptacle so as to engage ramps so as to direct the LED assembly into the receptacle. When the LED assembly is attached to the receptacle, the terminals on the LED assembly mate with the contacts on the receptacle.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2010Date of Patent: March 10, 2015Assignee: Molex IncorporatedInventors: Victor Zaderej, Daniel B. Patent number: 8820342Abstract: A device for controlling an actuator includes an input interface that receives a plurality of input signals including a setpoint command signal and a feedback signal. An output interface provides a drive signal to the actuator. First, second, and third redundant loop controllers processes the setpoint command signal and the feedback signal to generate respective actuator control signals. A primary controller compares the actuator control signals to determine whether at least two are substantially similar. The device outputs the drive signal to the actuator according to an actuator control signals that has been determined by the primary controller to be substantially similar to another. Any one of the redundant loop controllers is hot swappable with a replacement loop controller such that loop controller redundancy is operatively maintained by the device in controlling the actuator while one of the redundant loop controllers is hot swapped.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2011Date of Patent: September 2, 2014Assignee: Tapco International CorporationInventors: Dan Nguyen Do, Robert Stocker Moreland

Patent number: 8650311Abstract: A smart network may include a smart network host device as well as one or more client devices configured to connect to the smart network. Each of the client devices may implement one or more services that the client device exposes to other devices connected to the smart network. A client device configured to connect to the smart network may implement one or more modules configured to facilitate connecting to the smart network, registering the client device or services running on the client device with the smart network, diagnosing issues with the client device or the smart network, and upgrading the firmware of the client device. The client device may be configured to perform the various operations with minimal input from an owner of the smart network.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2011Date of Patent: February 11, 2014Assignee: Cisco Technology, Inc.Inventors: Siddhartha Dattagupta, John Furlan, Mark Carroll, Chong Liang Li, Insung Kim, Edward James, Matthew Tebbs, Craig Hobbs, Mark Chekhanovskiy, Dan Nguyen

Patent number: 8631471Abstract: A host device for a wireless network may be configured to implement at least two virtual access points for connecting client devices to the wireless network. A user virtual access point enables a client device to connect to the wireless network and transmit network traffic to other devices connected to the wireless network. In addition, a setup virtual access point provides an additional access point to connect to the wireless network when network credentials for the user virtual access point, such as a service set identifier (SSID) or a password, are changed by a user. When a client device cannot find the user virtual access point based on a stored SSID or password, the client device may be configured to automatically reconnect to the setup virtual access point to request a new SSID and network credentials for the user virtual access point.Type: GrantFiled: June 13, 2011Date of Patent: January 14, 2014Assignee: Cisco Technology, Inc.Inventors: Siddhartha Dattagupta, Aaron Hyman Averbuch, Craig A. Patent number: 8626921Abstract: A smart network may include a smart network host device as well as one or more client devices configured to connect to the smart network. Each of the client devices may implement one or more services that the client device exposes to other devices connected to the smart network. Each of the client devices includes network layer 2 and 3 attributes as well as network layer 7 application attributes. The application attributes are enumerated as named services, which each client device registers with the smart network host device. When a client device needs access to a named service, the smart network host device uses layer 2, 3, and 7 attributes associated with the client device to select a suitable server for providing the named service to the client device.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2011Date of Patent: January 7, 2014Assignee: Cisco Technology, Inc.Inventors: Mark Chekhanovskiy, Mark Carroll, Siddhartha Dattagupta, John Furlan, Craig Hobbs, Edward James, Insung Kim, Chong Liang Li, Dan Nguyen, Matthew Tebbs
