    Abstract: A wiping system comprises a support table, a conveying unit configured to convey a wiping belt onto the support table, a carrier holding device configured to hold a carrier on which a plurality of fiber optic ferrules are mounted, a carrier pressing device configured to press the carrier on the support table with a plurality of front end faces of the fiber optic ferrules in direct contact with the wiping belt, and a first base on which the support table is mounted. The carrier holding device and the carrier pressing device are slidably mounted on the first base. The carrier pressed on the support table is movable back and forth relative to the support table in a first horizontal direction while the front end faces of the fiber optic ferrules remain in direct contact with the wiping belt.

A transformation matrix of the center of the sphere with respect to a center of the flange is calculated based on pose data of the robot at the same target point. A transformation matrix of a center of the end execution tool with respect to the center of the flange is calculated according to a formula.

The wiping system wipes the front end faces of the fiber optic ferrules on the carrier after the carrier and the fiber optic ferrules have been dried.     Abstract: An assembly system for inserting a terminal into a housing comprises a parallel robot mechanism, a serial robot mechanism, and an insertion mechanism. The parallel robot mechanism has a support platform on which the housing is held and a plurality of joints. The serial robot mechanism has an end effector connected to the support platform and is adapted to drive the parallel robot mechanism to move. The insertion mechanism is configured to insert the terminal into the housing. The parallel robot mechanism is moved by the serial robot mechanism to an insertion position in which an insertion hole of the housing is aligned with the terminal prior to the insertion mechanism inserting the terminal into the housing. At least a portion of the plurality of joints are locked while the insertion mechanism inserts the terminal into the housing to keep the parallel robot mechanism and the support platform stationary.

    Abstract: A system for determining a mounting state of a plurality of pins protruding from a mounting surface of an insulating housing of an electrical connector comprises an image capturing device and an identifying device. The image capturing device is adapted to capture an image of a detected pin of the plurality of pins of the electrical connector. The image capturing device captures the image in a capturing direction which is at an acute angle with respect to an extending direction of an ideal pin protruding perpendicularly from the mounting surface. The identifying device is adapted to identify whether or not the detected pin in the image is within a predetermined region of the image. The identifying device determines the mounting state of the detected pin as unqualified when the detected pin in the captured image extends beyond the predetermined region.

    Abstract: An automatic injection system for injecting an adhesive into a plurality of bores of a multi-bore ferrule comprises an injector, a first clamp holding the ferrule at a first adhesive injection station, and a second clamp holding the ferrule at a second adhesive injection station. The injector injects the adhesive into an injection opening in the ferrule. A plurality of optical fibers are not disposed in the bores of the ferrule and the injector injects the adhesive into the ferrule until the bores are fully filled with the adhesive at the first adhesive injection station. The optical fibers are disposed in the bores of the ferrule filled with the adhesive and the injector again injects the adhesive into the ferrule at the second adhesive station to compensate for a loss of adhesive during an insertion of the optical fibers into the bores.

A blade portion of one of the stripping tools cuts a notch in at least one of two side edges of an outer coating layer of the optical cable. The stripping belts are driven to move relative to the optical cable by the driving belt wheels so as to strip off a segment of the outer coating layer from the notch.

    Abstract: An online thickness detection platform having a first laser sensor and a second laser sensor that detect a thickness of a product passing between the first arm and the second arm of a C-type frame on which the first laser sensor and a second laser sensor, respectively are adjustably mounted. The first laser sensor and the second laser sensor do not contact the product during detecting the thickness of the product. Because the thickness of the product is detected online, the thickness of the product is monitored in real-time. When the thickness of the product exceeds or falls below an allowed value range, production of the product is stopped, thereby avoiding producing a large number of unqualified products with a thickness out of the allowed value range and waste is prevented.
