  • Patent number: 11132457
Abstract: A system is provided for controlling access to data stored in a cloud-based storage service. Data associated with a user account is stored at the cloud-based storage service. A portion of the data is associated with a heightened authentication protocol, a first request receiving, at the cloud-based storage service, for an application to access data that is associated with the heightened authentication protocol. The first request is authenticated based on the heightened authentication protocol. In response to authenticating the first request, permission is granted to the application to access the data that is associated with the heightened authentication protocol. The permission is time-limited. It is determined that the application is editing the data that is associated with the heightened authentication protocol. Permission for the application to access the data while the application is editing the data is temporarily extended.

  • Publication number: 20180242782
Abstract: The problem of evenly cooking a food item so that all sides cook and brown evenly is solved by the use of a roasting platform that raises above rendered substances that can cause a steam and wetness to the surface of a food item. The roasting platform can be foldable or compressed, so that it takes up minimal storage space and can be deployed for use. Drain holes allow rendered substances to be more quickly separated from the surface of a food item. The same drain holes can be used as visual indicators when deploying the roasting platform to show when he folds of a roasting platform are sufficiently separated for maximum usable area and support for a weight placed thereon.

  • Patent number: 9722335
Abstract: An enhanced dual in line memory module (DIMM) connector includes internal conductive paths that provide access to signaling on standard conductive paths to an industry standard DIMM. The internal conductive paths are coupled in series or in parallel with the standard conductive paths through the connector. Interposer circuitry, such as control circuitry and or supplemental memory circuitry, may be incorporated on or within the connector. The interposer circuitry may include field effect transistor (FET) switching circuitry configured to selectively decouple a defective dynamic random memory (DRAM) on a DIMM from a conductive path to a memory controller and couple a substitute DRAM to the conductive paths in its place.

  • Publication number: 20170046212
Abstract: Reducing system downtime during memory subsystem maintenance in a computer processing system is disclosed. In some aspects, a computer processing system comprises a computer processor communicatively coupled to a plurality of memory sockets, each of which interfaces with a memory module and includes a gate control. The computer processor is further communicatively coupled to a dedicated non-volatile storage device. Upon detection of a memory health condition requiring replacement of a memory module, access to the memory module is blocked, and data is transferred from the memory module to the dedicated non-volatile storage device. A memory address range of the memory module is then remapped to the dedicated non-volatile storage device, such that subsequent memory access requests to the memory module are rerouted to the dedicated non-volatile storage device. The memory socket of the memory module is then gated, allowing maintenance to be performed while maintaining system availability.

  • Patent number: 7454000
Abstract: A wireless information communication system, such as a paging network, that provides caller identification information transmitted from the public switched telephone network to a pager, PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), or personal communication device carried by a page-receiving communicant. The system may include a textual or synthesized voice query to verify the telephone number and/or name information that was derived from caller identification information received, and may also prompt a caller to enter other optional data such as alternative caller-identifying information, call-back information or message information. The wireless communication system then transmits at least one of the caller identification information and the optional data to a page-receiving communicant. A cellular communication system may also transmit a paging message containing caller identification information or optional data to a cellular radiotelephone device.
