  • Publication number: 20120029875
Abstract: A monitoring unit for the operation of control cabinet devices, particularly a climate control device, having a detection unit for operating state data of the control cabinet devices, a monitoring unit including an analysis unit, and a display unit for displaying informational data on the control cabinet devices for a verifying person. A reliable, clearly laid-out detection of operating states is achieved because the analysis unit has a collection device for different physical operating state data over a previous time duration influencing the function of the control cabinet device, and a calculating device for the operating state data, and that informational data, which is derived from the operating state data while calculating by way of the calculating device, is provided to the display device for the verifying person before any malfunction occurs.

  • Patent number: 7719446
Abstract: The invention allows the interpolation factor, a critical parameter in sample rate conversion systems, to be computed in a real-time system where there is a complex relationship between a DSP clock and the data clocks. Typically, two or three of the clocks in such a system will have simple relationships (such as CLOCK1=2*CLOCK2). This relationship leads to degenerate cases where, in fact, there are only one or two clocks to consider rather than three. Furthermore, the invention allows for input data rates that are higher than the DSP clock rate. The invention also provides for an arbitrary time delay to be applied to the output signal.

  • Publication number: 20080091270
Abstract: An osteoimplant comprising an expandable, biocompatible material. The expandable material may be demineralized bone particles such as demineralized cancelous chips or demineralized cortical fibers or may be another material such as a polymer. The osteoimplant has a first state and a second expanded state. The osteoimplant may be used with another device or on its own. The osteoimplant may be inserted into a device such as an intervertebral body fusion device in the compressed state. The osteoimplant may be rehydrated to expand to an increased size, for example as far as permitted by the confines of the intervertebral body fusion device and spinal endplates, thereby aiding in greater vertebral endplate contact and conformity in spinal surgery.

  • Patent number: 6661836
Abstract: A jitter measurement technique utilizing a high-bandwidth undersampling voltage measurement instrument is presented. A trigger is derived from the a signal having a repetitive signal pattern. The signal is compared with a threshold at a plurality of times relative to the trigger during multiple repetitions of the signal pattern to produce measurement samples indicative of signal level relative to the threshold. The measurement samples are used to determine the probability of signal edge states as a function of time for the multiple repetitions. The probability of signal edge states are used to determine an edge probability density as a function of time. A histogram of signal state transition times can be prepared from the edge probability density. Mean deviation of edge transitions of the signal can be estimates, and standard deviation of edge transitions of the signal can be estimated to give the root-mean-square (rms) jitter of the signal.

  • Patent number: 5748124
Abstract: Mixed-signal tester architecture and methods are provided which minimize transfer of data, offer parallel data post-processing within the analog channels, and allow flexible synchronization. Multiple analog channels each have a source digital signal processor (DSP), a digital source sequencer, digital source instrumentation, analog source instrumentation, analog measure instrumentation, digital measure instrumentation, a digital pin multiplexer, a digital measure sequencer, DSP-addressable multi-bank capture memory, a capture digital signal processor, and an inter-DSP feedback path for communication between the source DSP and the capture DSP. Each analog channel can be arranged in a feedback loop through either its analog and/or digital instrumentation using the inter-DSP feedback path. DUT response is processed in the channel, the result is used to define parameters for a subsequent test cycle, and a signal corresponding to these parameters is generated and applied to the DUT.

  • Patent number: 5512895
Abstract: Method and apparatus for digital sample rate conversion. A mixed signal tester employing digital sample rate conversion is also disclosed. According to the invention, variable phase jitter is introduced into an input digital signal to produce an intermediate signal at a second sampling rate. The intermediate signal is then low pass filtered to produce the output signal. This technique is used in a mixed signal tester where one period of a stimulus signal is stored in a digital memory. The frequency of the analog stimulus signal is dictated by the rate at which the digital signal is retrieved from the memory. Sample rate conversion is used to convert the signal retrieved from memory, regardless of the rate at which it was retrieved, to the sampling rate for which a digital to analog converter has been calibrated.
