In addition, the method may include detecting a user input on a selected graphical representation of the multiple graphical representations on the first GUI.

Abstract: A bipolar electrosurgical fusion/sealer and dissector is provided that is arranged to simultaneously fuse and cut tissue captured between jaws of the instrument. The jaws include particularly positioned, shaped and/or oriented electrodes along with a compressible landing pad to perform the simultaneous fusion and cutting of tissue. An electrosurgical generator is arranged to supply RF energy through the instrument and monitors a phase angle of the supplied RF energy and adjusts or terminates the supplied RF energy based on the monitored phase angle to optimally fuse and dissect the tissue.

Abstract: Investigation of fine tissue structures, such as those in non-neural, non-osseous tissues or organs, is best performed in intact tissue. Described herein are compositions and methods for clearing tissues for subsequent three-dimensional analysis. The compositions referred to herein as tissue clearing compositions are composed of four core components: (1) a homogenizing agent such as N-methylglucamine, urea, thiourea, guanidine, guanidinium chloride, lithium perchlorate, ethylenediamine, and derivatives thereof; (2) a water-soluble adjusting agent such as iohexol, sodium thiosulfate, polyethylene glycol, and derivatives thereof; (3) a lipid-soluble adjusting agent such as 2,2?-thiodiethanol, propylene glycol, and derivatives thereof; and (4) a borate compound such as boric acid, tetraboric acid, disodium tetraborate, and derivatives thereof. The disclosed tissue clearing compositions are particularly suitable for use with non-neural, non-osseous tissues or organs.

Abstract: In various implementations, a fracture fixation system includes a plate, at least two distal screws, at least one fastener, and at least one wire. The plate has a proximal end, a distal end, and a longitudinal axis that extends between the proximal and distal ends. The plate also includes a distal end portion adjacent the distal end that defines at least two circular openings and an intermediate portion disposed between the proximal end portion and distal end portion. The intermediate portion defines at least one axially oriented elongated slot. The distal screws engage the respective circular openings and a distal end of the bone below a fracture of the bone. The fastener is slidably coupled to the axially oriented elongated slot to prevent movement laterally, rotationally, or angularly of the bone relative to the plate while allowing the proximal and distal portions of the bone to compress the fracture.

Abstract: A method for counting and aggregating a pre-determined number of articles includes: driving, by a conveyor, an article stream to move to an end of the conveyor in a single layer state; conveying the article stream in a periodic motion; after the articles in the article stream leave the conveyor, accurately counting the number of the articles; and when a total number of articles in a combination of temporary storage bin is the same as a target number, transporting all articles in the combination of temporary storage bin to a storage device. Article batches are separately delivered to different temporary storage bins, and the total number of articles in temporary storage bins in different combinations is calculated, so as to obtain with a combination in which the number of articles is the same as the target number. The operation efficiency is improved and the manufacturing cost of device is reduced.
