  • Patent number: 6770639
Abstract: Disclosed are novel compounds of formula (I): wherein Ar1, Ra, R4, R5, X and Y are defined below, which are useful as inhibitors of certain protein tyrosine kinases and are thus useful for treating diseases associated with such kinases, for example, diseases resulting from inappropriate cell proliferation, which include autoimmune diseases, chronic inflammatory diseases, allergic diseases, transplant rejection and cancer, as well as conditions resulting from cerebral ischemia, such as stroke. Also disclosed are processes for preparing these compounds, novel intermediates useful in these processes and compositions comprising compounds of the formula (I).

Inventors: Roger John Snow, Mario Cardozo, Daniel Goldberg, Abdelhakim Hammach, Tina Morwick, Neil Moss, Usha R. Patel, Anthony S. Prokopowicz, III, Hidenori Takahashi, Matt Aaron Tschantz, Xiao-Jun Wang
  • Publication number: 20040086833
Abstract: A system and method for creating a cognitive learning course over a network is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of presenting to a user connected to a network a plurality of options for assembling course content, the plurality of options related to an existing course and a new course, receiving, at a managing location remote from the user, a user's selection of one of the plurality of options, and, accepting, from the user, input for adding, modifying, or deleting course content for assembly, the presenting, receiving, and accepting steps being executed over the network. The options may include editing an existing course and creating a new course.

  • Patent number: 6346599
Abstract: Lactone copolymers are disclosed which are polymerized from a first lactone monomer and a second amorphous monomer which is effective to suppress the crystallization of the copolymer. It is disclosed that suppression of the crystallization can provide enhanced mechanical properties in films made from the copolymers. As a result, films prepared from the copolymers of the present invention can have properties rendering them suitable for use as biodegradable trash bags as well as for other uses.

  • Patent number: 6297349
Abstract: Condensation copolymers are disclosed which are polymerized from a first monomer which is capable of polymerization by condensation polymerization, e.g., ring opening lactone polymerization, and a second monomer which is effective to suppress the crystallization of the copolymer. It is disclosed that suppression of the crystallization can provide enhanced mechanical properties in films made from the copolymers. As a result, films prepared from the copolymers of the present invention can have properties rendering them suitable for use as biodegradable trash bags as well as for other uses.

  • Patent number: 4847122
Abstract: A cavitation resistant polymer and coating are provided by curing a composition containing from about 24 to 48 wt. % of a liquid epoxy resin, from about 24 to 48 wt. % of a blocked isocyanate prepolymer, from about 4.2 to 12 wt. % of a rheological additive at least 65% of which is an amorphous silica flatting agent, from about 10 to 14 wt. % of a curing agent, from about 1 to 4 wt. % of a plasticizer, and from about 0.1 to 0.6 wt. % of a silane. The composition can contain pigments, fillers and other auxillary agents.
