    Abstract: A cremation container is foldable into a compact configuration for shipping purposes and is unfolded and erected at its destination. The cremation container comprises a bottom, a pair of side walls pivotally connected to the bottom, a pair of end walls pivotally connected to the bottom, and a cover removably positionable atop the pair of side walls and the pair of end walls. One pair of the pair of side walls and pair of end walls is foldable onto the bottom, and the other pair of the pair of side walls and pair of end walls is foldable onto the one pair of the pair of side walls and the pair of end walls, to thereby compactly configure the container for shipping. Preferably, the pair of side walls are foldable onto the bottom and the pair of end walls are foldable onto the pair of side walls.

    Abstract: A cremation urn comprises a first mass and a second mass contained within the first mass. The second mass includes an opening communicating with a cavity within the second mass for receiving cremated remains. At least a portion of the first mass is transparent so as to permit viewing of at least a portion of the second mass through the transparent portion of the first mass. A cover is closable over the opening to retain the cremated remains within the cavity. In another embodiment the first mass includes at least one window permitting viewing of at least a portion of the second mass therethrough. In another aspect a cremation urn comprises a mass including an opening communicating with a cavity within the mass for receiving cremated remains, the cavity defining a cremated remains container. At least a portion of the mass is transparent so as to permit viewing of at least a portion of the container through the transparent portion of the mass.

At least one generally horizontal cremation urn-supporting shelf extends horizontally outward from the pair of shelf-supporting walls. The shelf corresponds in size and shape to the base top wall and is cantilevered horizontally outward from the pair of shelf-supporting walls by having a free unsupported corner positioned above a respective corner of the base top wall.
