  • Patent number: 11939153
Abstract: A refuse container lid opening device includes a lid hingedly attached to a container body for covering the container body's top opening. The lid is free of grabbable handles or protuberances but an elongated tongue descending from its underside is received in a slot in the top rim of the container body and is accessible outward of the container body. Upward movement of the tongue when the lid is closed raises the lid above the top rim of the container body to form a manually accessible gap in which a hand can be inserted to fully open the lid.

  • Patent number: 11752031
Abstract: A self-heating warming blanket includes a pliable outer shell forming a liquid impermeable enclosure. A heat generation layer disposed inside the enclosure has a plurality of liquid permeable heater compartments containing an exothermic reactant. The blanket also has a heater activation system including a sealed bladder containing an activator liquid inside the enclosure. An activation strip extends from outside the outer shell into the enclosure. One segment of the strip is an unsealing segment connected to the bladder. Another segment of the strip is a handle segment outside the outer shell. Pulling on the handle segment opens the bladder and releases the activator liquid into the enclosure where at least a portion of it permeates at least one heater compartment and combines with the exothermic reactant contained therein to initiate an exothermic chemical reaction that heats the warming blanket.

  • Patent number: 11667468
Abstract: A refuse container lid opening device includes a lid hingedly attached to a container body for covering the container body's top opening. The lid when closed is flush with or recessed below the top edge of a railing extending around the top rim of the container body. An actuator retained in a sleeve on the outer surface of the container body is movable using a first hand between a rest position and an upraised position in which it is received in a slot in the top rim of the container body and engaged with the lid, further upward movement of the actuator opening the lid to form a manually accessible gap between the lid and the top rim to allow the lid to be fully opened using a second hand.

  • Publication number: 20200100936
Abstract: An exothermic natural massage shell includes a natural bivalve shell comprising a first half and a second half adhered together with an adhesive to form a hollow chamber. An aperture is formed in the first half to provide a portal to the hollow chamber of the bivalve shell. A reactant is disposed inside the hollow chamber of the bivalve shell. The reactant may be a reactive powder mixture disposed inside a fluid-permeable pouch. Combining the reactant with an activator inside the hollow chamber of the bivalve shell causes an exothermic reaction that heats the bivalve shell and maintains the bivalve shell at a substantially constant elevated temperature for a duration of time. The adhesive adhering the first shell half to the second shell half includes a first elastomeric polymer bonding agent with balanced coefficient of expansion properties and a second flexible resin sealant that makes the adhesive moisture-proof.
