  • Publication number: 20200396762
Abstract: Embodiments herein relate to a communication terminal (10) for handling communication, which communication terminal (10) is being served by a radio access node (12, 13) in a first cell (11) on a carrier of a licensed frequency spectrum and cross-carrier scheduled in a second cell (14) on a carrier of an unlicensed frequency spectrum by the radio access node (12, 13) via the first cell (11). The communication terminal receives an indication that data may be scheduled for the communication terminal (10) on a data channel in the second cell (14). The communication terminal attempts to detect presence of the data channel intended for the communication terminal (10). Then, in case the communication terminal (10) detects presence of the data channel intended for the communication terminal (10), the communication terminal (10) decodes the data channel.

  • Patent number: 10863481
Abstract: A communication system includes a transmitting communication device and a receiving communication device. The transmitting communication device determines a control element, e.g., a control element of a Media Access Control protocol, associated with one of the carriers and provides the control element with an identifier specifying the carrier the control element is associated with. The transmitting communication device sends the control element with the identifier on one of the carriers to the receiving communication device. The receiving communication device receives the control element and determines, from the identifier received with the control element, the carrier the control element is associated with. Further, the receiving communication device determines, on the basis of parameters indicated by the control element, a data transmission property of the carrier the control element is associated with.

  • Publication number: 20200366435
Abstract: Devices and methods for transmitting information in resource blocks between a base station and one or more communication devices are disclosed. In each resource block (RB) used for a data or control channel transmission, a plurality of non-overlapping regions of resource elements (REs) are defined. Each region is associated with one or multiple unique reference symbols (RSs), and may be further associated with one or more antenna ports. When user equipment (UE) demodulates the information it receives in a particular region of an RB, it uses the RS and/or antenna port associated with that region. The RS and/or antenna port information may be used, for example, to estimate a channel of the communication network or to demodulate and decode the data contained within the associated regions.
