  • Publication number: 20150202406
Abstract: An insertion device for delivering media inside a patient includes an outer guide tube having a side port. An inner guide tube is nested within the outer guide tube and movable axially within the outer guide tube. The inner guide tube includes a deflector at an end within the outer guide tube. The device also includes a catheter nested within the inner guide tube and movable axially within the inner guide tube. The deflector of the inner guide tube is positionable such that it deflects the dispensing end of the catheter outward through the opening in the outer guide tube when the catheter is advanced axially within the inner guide tube. A therapeutic delivery cannula may be nested within the catheter, such that the deflected end of the catheter determines the direction of travel of the therapeutic delivery cannula into patient tissue when the cannula emerges from the catheter.

  • Patent number: 7481475
Abstract: A console assembly for an automotive vehicle having a housing secured to the vehicle which defines a cavity open at one end of the housing. A drawer support extends outwardly from a lower end of the open end of the housing and at least one track is attached to the drawer support. A drawer has a portion dimensioned to fit within the housing cavity and the drawer is movable between a closed position in which the drawer is positioned within the housing cavity, and an open position in which the drawer overlies the drawer support. At least one shoe is attached to the drawer and slidably mounted to the track so that the shoe slides along the track as the drawer is moved between its open and closed positions. At least one elongated bearing slide assembly is also provided between the drawer and the housing to slidably support the drawer.

  • Publication number: 20080285040
Abstract: A method includes detecting a plasmon resonance in a material based on a change in at least one electrical property of the material. For example, the material can be a sensor portion of an electrical circuit, wherein the method can further include: exposing the sensor portion to a test material; optically illuminating the sensor portion when the test material is present, and monitoring the change in the at least one electrical property of the sensor portion in response to the optical illumination. The monitored changed in the at least one electrical property of the sensor portion can provide information about the test material, such as the presence or absence of selected analytes and/or their binding affinities. In another example, the material is a part of a receiver for a plasmonic circuit. An apparatus for carrying out the method is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7162773
Abstract: The present invention provides a control knob assembly for a register that is used in a blower of an HVAC system of an automobile. The assembly includes a knob portion having an open side for receiving a vane of the register in snap fit engagement. The vane of the register includes a notched portion disposed on a rear edge thereof. A compressively resilient pad is disposed in the notched portion and extends outwardly beyond the rear edge to contact an inner surface of the knob portion and provide a snug fit between the vane and the knob portion. During manipulation of the vane by the user, the compressively resilient pad does not compress resulting in a consistently stable and robust feeling experienced by the user.
