  • Publication number: 20240377438
Abstract: Approaches presented herein provide for a short circuit testing fixture in which a switch arm is associated with a switch bridge and with a trigger mechanism to enable testing of electrical shorts in high powered DC circuits. The trigger mechanism causes the switch arm to contact the switch bridge and close an energized circuit to cause a short. The switch arm maintains the closed energized circuit after the short until the circuit is deenergized.

  • Publication number: 20240370845
Abstract: Provided are check-in to checkout systems and methods. The system includes a point of sale, a display, a mobile device, and a backend system. When the POS starts a transaction, such as, but not limited to scanning an item, the POS generates a transaction/basket identification. In response to starting the transaction, the POS sends the transaction/basket ID to the display in the form of a QR code or one-dimensional barcode. The mobile device operating a mobile application scans and captures the displayed code and reports to the backend systems. The backend systems then send a check-in event, which includes gathered data by the backend systems, to the POS and the POS acknowledges receipt of the message. At this point, a notification may be sent to the mobile application that the check-in was successful and a link is established for flow of information.

  • Publication number: 20240320685
Abstract: Examples provide customized authorization of item self-returns. A customized returns manager component calculates a customized return-trust score and a per-item return value based on analysis of item data and transaction history data. If a per-user return-trust score is within an unacceptable threshold range or an item value is within an unacceptable threshold value range, a second user is assigned to assist a first user with completion of the proposed return of the selected item. If the per-user return-trust score and the item value is within an acceptable threshold range, a return authorization component authorizes unassisted self-return of the selected item. An item disposition component determines in real-time whether to permit the first user to keep the selected item or instruct the first user to return the selected item to a designated item return area prior to completion of the item return based on a set of item disposition criteria.

  • Publication number: 20240281329
Abstract: In described examples, a processor system includes a processor core that generates memory write requests, and a cache memory with a memory controller having a memory pipeline. The cache memory has cache lines of length L. The cache memory has a minimum write length that is less than a cache line length of the cache memory. The memory pipeline determines whether the data payload includes a first chunk and ECC syndrome that correspond to a partial write and are writable by a first cache write operation, and a second chunk and ECC syndrome that correspond to a full write operation that can be performed separately from the first cache write operation. The memory pipeline performs an RMW operation to store the first chunk and ECC syndrome in the cache memory, and performs the full write operation to store the second chunk and ECC syndrome in the cache memory.

  • Publication number: 20240273294
Abstract: The technology employs soft knowledge prompts (KPs) to inject relevant world knowledge into language models. This includes training KPs via self-supervised learning on data from one or more knowledge bases. KPs are task independent and can function as an external memory of the language models. KPs may be entity-centric, meaning that each prompt primarily encodes information about one entity from a given knowledge base. A method includes identifying a KP in response to a received input text, concatenating that KP to a sequence of word embeddings of the input text, applying the concatenated information to a trained language model, predicting an object entity name, computing a cross-entropy loss, and updating the identified KP based on the computed cross-entropy loss.
