Abstract: A display apparatus 200 includes a substrate 219 and a number of light emitting diodes (LEDs) 202 coupled to the substrate. An optical element 207 such as a shroud or an integrator rod is located adjacent to at least one of the LEDs. In operation, the optical element and the LEDs are movable relative to one another so that the optical element is adjacent to different ones of the LEDs at different times.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided for implementing coexistence and cooperation between system firmware and debug code. A service processor is coupled to a machine under test for sending system firmware test functions to the machine under test and receiving test data from the machine under test. A host computer is coupled to the service processor for sending bring-up tool debug test functions to the machine under test and receiving test data from the machine under test. The system firmware starts without user intervention on initial power-on routine of the machine under test. When the host computer receives a user request, the host computer notifies the service processor. The bring-up tool debug test functions are started responsive to the user request. The system firmware can be used for certain operations to a certain point in an operational test sequence of the machine under test and then the debug tool debug test functions are used for other functions that are not implemented in the system firmware.

Abstract: A valve apparatus is disclosed that includes a valve housing, a valve disc, a valve stem, and a handle for operating the valve apparatus between an open and closed position. The apparatus may be integrated with a transformer and a radiator, such that when the handle is rotated to an open position, the disc opens the valve apparatus and does not extend beyond an end surface of the housing of the valve apparatus.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing a prepaid calling account with an associated message mailbox. In various embodiments, the calling account may allow prepaid telephone access using the calling account, access to a message mailbox associated with the calling account, and retrieval of messages, paid for out of the same calling account. In further embodiments a prepaid calling account has at least two account access identifications, one identification allowing a remote party to add funds to the account. In further embodiments, one identification allowing a remote party to add finds to the account and another access identification allowing a cash back option so that funds may be transferred. In further embodiments, a method and/or apparatus allows a user of a message mailbox to originate a call with, in specific embodiments, a call originating out of the message mailbox carrying a caller-id number indicating the message mailbox.

Abstract: A foot propelled land craft is provided with a steering post and body section coupled together by a resilient, elastic length of material which serves as both a hinge for steering and as a shock absorber. The body section has a seat located above a deck. Preferably fenders are provided at either side of the front of the body section to fend off branches or foliage which may project into the path of travel.
