  • Publication number: 20120185077
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device and to a method for controlling and operating a production cell including at least a part of the peripheral equipment associated therewith. Machine sequences based on machine control components that are part of a domain model are established, managed, and executed using a domain language. For a free configurability of machine control components, it is proposed to select a machine control component from a set of predetermined component types, to allocate an admissible technology from a set of technologies to a machine control component, wherein for each technology of a component type a logic is stored, which comprises and defines the interfaces required for the machine control component and the technology, and to connect the connection interfaces of the machine control component to hardware inputs and outputs of existing connections of the production cell.

  • Publication number: 20120153976
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to a device with overvoltage protection that includes a varistor which can be connected by a first connection via a first line to high-voltage potential in a circuit arrangement, while a second connection is connected to ground via a second line. Furthermore, an additional impedance is provided, which can be connected between the second connection and ground or the first connection and the high voltage, or is mounted fixed in this position. The corresponding line can be interrupted by a switching arrangement. In order to test the withstand voltage of the circuit arrangement, at least one of the first and second line is interrupted and an additional impedance is inserted. A test voltage is applied to the circuit arrangement. After the overvoltage test, the interruption in at least one of the first and second lines is removed again.

  • Patent number: 7946909
Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for ordered execution of actions in a game environment is disclosed. An indication of a first object having been targeted in the game environment may be received whereby the object is assigned a first target slot. An indication of a second object having been targeted in the game environment may then be received, this second targeted object being assigned a second target slot. An action is then executed in the game environment with respect to each of the targeted objects in response to a command from an input device. The execution of the action with respect to each of the targeted objects may occur in accordance with an order defined by the target slots.

  • Patent number: 7455589
Abstract: A video game player can easily target and attack one or more enemies in a video game environment. The player may quickly designate an enemy on a display screen as a target and associate the enemy with a controller button on a video game controller. When the game player actuates the controller button, a player character initiates an attack on the targeted enemy that is assigned or associated with the button. The character initiates the attack on the enemy regardless of whether the character is facing toward the enemy or away from the enemy. If multiple enemies are present and multiple controller buttons are available, the player can choose which enemy will be targeted and associated with a controller button. This allows the player flexibility in choosing which enemies to attack. The player can also associate additional enemies with different buttons on a controller. The player can then initiate successive attacks on the additional enemies by actuating the buttons associated with the enemies.

  • Publication number: 20070153981
Abstract: A telephone line test system that may be used to compute line length of subscriber lines connected to a central office or other distribution point. When initially installed, the test system may automatically compute CO limits. The CO limits are computed from single-ended measurements on subscriber lines and represent electrical effects of the path between a test head and the distribution point. These CO limits are used to more accurately compute the length of lines connected to the distribution point using measurements made by the test system. Because the process uses single-ended measurements, it may be run in background mode during the initial installation of the test system or at any subsequent time it is desired to update the CO limits.
