  • Publication number: 20220246268
Abstract: Introduced here are computer-implemented platforms (also referred to as “therapy platforms”) that are designed to improve adherence to, and success of, exercise therapy programs assigned to patients for completion. As part of an exercise therapy program, a patient may be requested to engage with a therapy platform. An exercise therapy program normally comprises a number of exercise therapy sessions in which the patient is instructed to perform physical activities. For example, the patient may be instructed to perform a series of exercises over the course of an exercise therapy session. The therapy platform can assist the patient by actively guiding her through the exercise therapy session.

  • Publication number: 20210396932
Abstract: The present invention discloses a directional photonic coupler (1) with independent tuning of the coupling factor and phase difference. The coupler comprises: two waveguides (4, 5), with respective propagation constants “?1, ?2”, on which phase shifters (6, 7) configured to modify the propagation coefficients are located. Both phase shifters are configured such that, by independent modification (differential or unique) of the propagation coefficients, the power coupling factor (K) between an input signal (2a or 2b) and the output signals (3b and 3a) is tuned, and by equal and simultaneous modification of the propagation coefficients, the common phase difference of the optical output signals (3 a, 3b) is tuned. A third phase shifter (15) can be used to retune the phase difference at the input/output of one of the waveguides. The coupler is of particular interest in PIC circuits, coupled resonators, Mach-Zehnder interferometers and mesh structures.

  • Patent number: 11063555
Abstract: The method of forecasting for solar-based power systems (10) recognizes that no single solar irradiance forecasting model provides the best forecasting prediction for every current weather trend at every time of the year. Instead, the method trains a classifier to select the best solar irradiance forecasting model for prevailing conditions through a machine learning approach. The resulting solar irradiance forecast predictions are then used to allocate the solar-based power systems (10) resources and modify demand when necessary in order to maintain a substantially constant voltage supply in the system (10).
