  • Patent number: 9895548
Abstract: In embodiments, a wearable cardiac defibrillator system includes an energy storage module configured to store a charge. Two electrodes can be configured to be applied to respective locations of a patient. One or more reservoirs can store one or more conductive fluids. Respective fluid deploying mechanisms can be configured to cause the fluids to be released from one or more of the reservoirs, which decreases the impedance at the patient location, and decreases discomfort for the patient. In some embodiments an impedance is sensed between the two electrodes, and the stored charge is delivered when the sensed impedance meets a discharge condition. In some embodiments, different fluids are released for different patient treatments. In some embodiments, fluid release is controlled to be in at least two doses, with an intervening pause.

  • Patent number: 9834130
Abstract: A quick-release logistic track having a coupling device and logistic track that creates a sidewall flush-mounted logistic track that allows for continuous cargo tie down points, working in conjunction with primarily vertical slotted posts, that can be placed at any location in the cargo area of a semi-trailer and other cargo transporting vehicles' enabling cargo restraint devices to be placed directly against cargo regardless of where the cargo is positioned. Assembled, the coupling and its logistic track becomes a removable and repositionable horizontal assembly that lays flush against the sidewall and ties together, with two inch centered logistic slots, two permanently mounted vertical logistic posts located on the same sidewall.

  • Patent number: 9832277
Abstract: Methods and systems for performing adaptive partitioning of a distributed cache partitioned in cache slices are provided. The slices of the distributed cache are assigned to different computer nodes of the cluster based on a routing table. After a pre-determined period of time, the cache slices can be re-assigned to other computer nodes of the cluster based on access statistics and a new routing table is provided that corresponds to the re-assignment of the cache slices to the computer nodes of the cluster.

  • Patent number: 9829023
Abstract: A connector having a spring configured to change a dimension such as diameter or length in response to a change in a force applied to it, wherein the spring is biased in a radial or longitudinal direction towards a natural dimension. The connector including a dimension control portion configured to restrict the change in dimension in a direction away from the bias of the spring.

  • Publication number: 20170287724
Abstract: A method for patterning a substrate including multiple layers using a sulfur-based mask includes providing a substrate including a first layer and a second layer arranged on the first layer. The first layer includes a material selected from a group consisting of germanium, silicon germanium and type III/V materials. The method includes depositing a mask layer including sulfur species on sidewalls of the first layer and the second layer by exposing the substrate to a first wet chemistry. The method includes removing the mask layer on the sidewalls of the second layer while not completely removing the mask layer on the sidewalls of the first layer by exposing the substrate to a second wet chemistry. The method includes selectively etching the second layer relative to the first layer and the mask layer on the sidewalls of the first layer by exposing the substrate to a third wet chemistry.

  • Patent number: 9716841
Abstract: Systems for processing pixel signals generated by an image sensor to create improved images. More particularly, systems and methods are disclosed that adjust the gain on, inter alia, a pixel-by-pixel basis, to improve the dynamic range of the imaging system. The systems may include level detectors that measure the amplitude of a pixel signal and, based on that measurement, amplify that pixel signal by an amount that allows certain subsequent processing of the pixel signal to be more accurate. More accurately processed pixel signals can provide better overall images.
