  • Publication number: 20240007303
Abstract: A method for verification at a computing device of a signed message received from a first party over a public communications channel, the method including extracting a message digest “a” belonging to a semigroup from the signed message; obtaining a public key [c,e] for the first party, including a fixed value checker “c” and an endpoint “e”, checker “c” and endpoint “e” belonging to the semigroup and the endpoint comprising a multiplication of a private key “b” for the first party and the checker “c”, multiplying the message digest “a” and the endpoint “e” to create an endmatter “ae”; extracting a signature “d” from the signed message, the signature “d” belonging to the semigroup and being a multiplication of message digest “a” and private key “b”; multiplying the signature “d” and the checker “c” to create a signcheck “dc”; and verifying that the endmatter “ae” matches the signcheck “dc”.

  • Patent number: 11858262
Abstract: A fluid ejector for ejecting discrete volumes of ejectant includes a body with opposing first and second surfaces. One or more nozzles are defined as conduits extending through the body between the surfaces to connect first and second orifices at the first and second surfaces respectively. The fluid ejector further includes a gas supply means having a gas outlet and an ejectant supply means. The ejectant supply means supplies the ejectant to the nozzles at a pressure above ambient via their supply orifices. The supply orifice is defined in a conduit's side or is the second orifice. Relative movement of the gas supply means and body exposes first orifices to the gas outlet allowing the gas supply means to supply gas at a pressure above ambient, wherein a pressure difference thereby created between the first and second orifices causes ejection of the ejectant from the nozzles through the second orifices.

  • Publication number: 20230377337
Abstract: A computing system retrieves ball-by-ball data for a plurality of sporting events. The computing system generates a trained neural network based on ball-by-ball data supplemented with ball-by-ball data with ball-by-ball match context features and personalized embeddings based on a batsman and a bowler for each delivery. The computing system receives a target batsman and a target bowler for a pitch to be delivered in a target event. The computing system identifies target ball-by-ball data for a window of pitches preceding the to be delivered pitch. The computing system retrieves historical ball-by-ball data for each of the target batsman and the target bowler. The computing system generates personalized embeddings for both the target batsman and the target bowler based on the historical ball-by-ball data. The computing system predicts a shot type for the pitch to be delivered based on the target ball-by-ball data and the personalized embeddings.

  • Publication number: 20230353540
Abstract: A segmentation firewall executing on a host enforces a segmentation policy. In a co-existence mode, the segmentation firewall operates in co-existence with a system firewall that enforces a security policy. The segmentation firewall is configured to either drop packets that do not match any permissive rule or pass packets that match a permissive rule to the system firewall to enable the system firewall to determine whether to drop or accept the passed packets. To enable efficient operation of the segmentation firewall when operating in co-existence with the system firewall, the segmentation firewall may include a plurality of rule chains and may be configured to exit a chain and bypass remaining rule chains upon an input packet matching a permissive rule of the segmentation policy.

  • Patent number: 11763913
Abstract: A system can validate multiple nonvolatile random-access memory (NVRAM) devices in parallel. The system can concurrently write a first data to a first volatile memory of a first NVRAM device and a second NVRAM device. The system can modify a first electrical power source that provides an electrical power output that is received by the first NVRAM device and is received by the second NVRAM device to modify a voltage of the electrical power from a first value to a second value to initiate the first NVRAM device and the second NVRAM device to respectively perform a vault. The system can reset the first electrical power source, causing the first NVRAM device and the second NVRAM device to reset. The system can verify whether the first NVRAM device and the second NVRAM device respectively store the first data in volatile memory subsequent to performing the resetting.

  • Patent number: 11673693
Abstract: Systems and methods for manufacturing aircraft are disclosed. For example, a method for repetitively manufacturing aircraft comprises fractionally pulsing a constituent part down an assembly line by periodically advancing the constituent part down the assembly line by less than a length of the constituent part. The periodic advancing may include advancing the aircraft component by a pulse length that is less than the length of the aircraft component, stopping movement of the aircraft component for a duration and performing work on the aircraft component, and then advancing the aircraft component by the pulse length again. In another example, a method comprises determining a fractional pulse length to fractionally pulse one or more constituent parts of an aircraft based on one or more of a minimum workstation length of one or more assembly line workstations and a minimum section length of one or more work processes to be performed.

  • Publication number: 20230165408
Abstract: A food preparation appliance, such as a blending, mixing, or food processing appliance, allows for rotatable blade movement by a drive and/or driven shaft relative to a jar holding contents along with movement of the jar relative to the blade in the axial direction of the drive and/or driven shaft. For example, a vertical or axial movement of the blade relative to the jar, or vice-versa can be guided within defined limits. Aspects provide the consumer with an intuitive and proactive way of preventing cavitation and improving the blending performance by allowing the user to manually and indirectly physically agitate the mixture with an up and down motion of the jar during a blending operation. This option for manual operation is part of the disclosed blender design, so is always and conveniently available to the consumer as an anti-cavitation method.
