  • Publication number: 20050057112
Abstract: An electric drive comprising a stator with at least two ring-shaped windings and controllers, and a magnetized rotor with an axis of rotation. Each of said windings comprises at least one coil layer with circumferentially arrayed coils located around said axis, and a layer of electro-insulating material, and each winding is electrically connected to a power source through an individual controller. At least two said windings are electrically connected by their controllers in parallel, with the possibility to function jointly and/or independently. At least two nearest windings are located in such a way that two said coil layers belonging to the different windings are separated by an additional layer of electro-insulating material. The coils of said nearest coil layers of different windings are made the same in transparent view, so that the distances between corresponding parts of said coils of said nearest windings are equal to the thickness of said additional layer of an electro-insulating material.

  • Publication number: 20040190261
Abstract: A cooler for cooling of electronic components comprising at least two heatsinks thermally connected with each other by heat spreading means, and at least one double inlet centrifugal blower comprising a casing with two inlets and an outlet, an impeller with an axle and an electric drive. Said cooler thermally connected with said electronic component. Each of said heatsinks comprises inflow and outflow openings, and thermally connected heat exchanging means and a base. Said double inlet centrifugal blower is located between said heatsinks thus each of said outflow openings is coincided with said closest inlet, so cooling air flows through said inflow openings, said heat exchanging means, said outflow openings and said inlets of said blower in a series way. Said base of at least one of said heatsinks is thermally connected with said electronic component.

  • Publication number: 20040130182
Abstract: An at least partially moveable motor-vehicle outer skin is already known per se. An actuator formed of a polymer and/or ion-exchanging and/or other material exhibiting various conformations is provided so that the outer skin can be moved. This material is moveable as a result of physical or chemical effects. The novel outer skin of a motor vehicle requires no expensive tools for the production thereof. The flat section of the outer skin of the bodywork of a motor vehicle is made of a flexible material. A flexible material such as material for convertible top covers is easily moveable yet the surface thereof cannot be increased. This material is tensed at least over one part of the rib of the motor vehicle, e.g. over a space frame. At least one mechanically moveable adjusting element is provided beneath or on top of the edge of the section enabling the outer skin to be deformed. The adjusting element is normally connected to the rib of the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6698505
Abstract: A cooler for an electronic device of the present invention is provided with a heatsink and a cross flow blower with an electric motor. The heatsink comprises a base and heat exchanging means made as flat disks, fins or flat plates. The base provides thermal contact with the electronic device and the heat exchanging means. The cross flow blower comprises a drum type impeller with an axis of rotation substantially normal to the base. The flat disks substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation and located inside of the drum type impeller. The fins or flat plates substantially perpendicular to the axis of rotation and located outside of said drum type impeller. The heatsink further comprises heat-spreading means that provide thermal contact between the base and the flat disks and flat plates. The heat-spreading means may be heat-pipes.

  • Patent number: 6388346
Abstract: A multiple impeller flow inducing device in which driver coils are intermittently energized in timed relation to rotation of the impellers to interact with permanently magnetized portions of the impeller to rotate the same. The impellers can be rotated in opposite directions or in the same direction. A two section impeller construction allows each section to be magnetized in opposite pole orientation and when assembled creating alternate pole orientations of successive portions, arcuate segments forming a shroud or the type of blades can be magnetized to provide the impeller magnetized portions. Stator guide vanes can be interposed between successive impellers.
