  • Patent number: 12286221
Abstract: A wing structure having a unitary body formed by a plurality of tubular sections that are arranged side-by-side and configured such that adjacent internal walls of the tubular sections create internal spar structures that substantially reduce or eliminate the need for non-integral spars, or for fasteners to attach conventional spars and ribs into the wing skins. The unitized structure formed by the plurality of tubular sections can be further overwrapped with a composite material to provide additional strength to the wing structure.

  • Patent number: 12284445
Abstract: Methods and systems for calibrating a transmission electron microscope are disclosed. A fiducial mark on the sample holder is used to identify known reference points so that a current collection area and a through-hole on the sample holder can be located. A plurality of beam current and beam area measurements are taken, and calibration tables are extrapolated from the measurements for a full range of microscope parameters. The calibration tables are then used to determine electron dose of a sample during an experiment at a given configuration.

  • Publication number: 20250117071
Abstract: A mixed reality (MR) device can allow a user to switch between input modes to allow interactions with a virtual environment via devices such as a six degrees of freedom (6DoF) handheld controller and a touchpad input device. A default input mode for interacting with virtual content may rely on the user's head pose, which may be difficult to use in selecting virtual objects that are far away in the virtual environment. Thus, the system may be configured to allow the user to use a 6DoF cursor, and a visual ray that extends from the handheld controller to the cursor, to enable precise targeting. Input via a touchpad input device (e.g., that allows three degrees of freedom movements) may also be used in conjunction with the 6DoF cursor.

  • Publication number: 20250114959
Abstract: A vegetable slicing shield includes a root, a u-shaped handle, and a plurality of tines. The root is medially disposed between the u-shaped handle and the tines. The u-shaped handle is coupled with the root at opposing lateral regions of a first side of the root. The plurality of tines have first ends coupled with a second side of the root and extending outward from the root to second ends which form a row spaced apart points. Open slots are defined between adjacent tines of the plurality of tines. A subset of the tines are shaped between their first ends and their second ends to form slices of a containment basket which is curved in three-dimensions.

  • Publication number: 20250095262
Abstract: A method for computing a stylized, animatable representation of a subject from a family of stylized animatable representations is described. The method comprises accessing a realistic representation of the subject and computing a mesh mapping using a first machine learning model that is trained using a supervised training methodology that uses a set of training examples comprising a plurality of two dimensional (2D) images of the subject and corresponding stylized pictures of the subject. The method also comprises the first trained machine learning model applying the mesh mapping to the realistic representation to produce a target mesh, and selecting the stylized animatable representation from the family, based on closeness of the target mesh with instances of the family.

  • Publication number: 20250082133
Abstract: A blender system includes a container having a rotatable blade assembly therein, a lid covering an open end of the container, and a base with a motorized unit. When the container is coupled with the base, the motorized unit is adapted to drive rotation of the rotatable blade assembly. The lid includes a hinged actuator lever adapted to actuate the motorized unit. A detent extends from the hinged actuator lever and passes through a series of apertures and presses against a slidable actuator shaft disposed in the container and maintained in its position by a spring force, thereby depressing a switch for the motorized unit. A rotatable blade system includes cutting blade(s) and crushing blade(s). The crushing blade extends longitudinally outwardly from a hub. When the hub rotates in a first direction or second direction opposite the first direction, a face of the crushing blade is leading or trailing, respectively.

  • Publication number: 20250053594
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems of metadata management for reviewing data from microscopy experimental sessions. Image data from an experimental session is stored in an archive at one or more filepath locations, either locally or on a network. Metadata associated with the image data is stored in a database with a reference to the filepath where the raw image is stored, such that the metadata is associated in the database with the image data. A user can perform post-experimental filtering, sorting, and searching of the underlying image data using the metadata, which allows the image data to be analyzed without duplication of the image data and without manual review of each individual image. The filtered data is presented in an interactive timeline format.

  • Publication number: 20240427830
Abstract: Methods and techniques are disclosed to provide enhanced augmented reality and/or virtual reality content to a user based upon a physical media item such as a book, poster, museum display, or the like. A user device obtains an image of an access code that begins the enhanced experience. The device then may be used to scan one or more markers in or on the physical media that link to VR and/or AR digital content items associated with the physical media item or a portion thereof. The user is therefore able to experience the conventional printed media item in conjunction with enhanced material without requiring modification of the physical media item itself.

  • Publication number: 20240303439
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices to support intent discovery using natural language interface are described. A computing system associated with an organization may perform intent discovery using a neuro-symbolic method to generate a set of intents for a set of conversation data sets. For example, the computing system may identify a set of hypotheses for a set of conversation data sets using domain-specific information. The computing system may use a natural language inference engine to generate, for each of a set of data pairs which each include a respective conversation data set and a respective hypothesis, a probability of whether the hypothesis of the data pair is positively entailed by the conversation data set of the data pair. For each probability that satisfies a threshold probability, the computing system may add the associated hypothesis to a set of generated intents.
